    The United States Postal Service began using ZIP Codes in 1963. One of these ZIP Codes is located in the City of Naples in Southwest Florida and is called 34102. With beautiful beaches on the Gulf of Mexico, world-class sunsets, lush flora and a bit of old Florida charm, 34102 is certainly one of the most beautiful ZIP Codes in the United States. This book contains photographs that were taken exclusively in 34102. I hope that by presenting you with these pictures you can appreciate, as I do everyday, not only the beauty of 34102 but also the beauty of the world around you, wherever that may be.

    My name is Peter Horan, and I like to take photos. My primary interests are in artistic and commercial photography. I first purchased a digital camera in 2004 and quickly became enamored with it. I was amazed by the spontaneity and flexibility that was able to be achieved with this technology. In addition to the photography per se that is produced by these cameras, the digital editing of their images brought new vistas to me in artistic expression. Having the ability to emphasize and enhance aspects of a photo to bring them more to the attention of a viewer is quite a capability. Further, being able to easily manipulate variables such as color temperature, hue and perspective can lead to very striking and sometimes unexpected results that are very visually appealing. As I work more with this medium I will continue to develop new ways of refining the canvases produced by these cameras in ways that are aesthetically engaging to the viewer.
