    MY EXPERIENCE OF TRYING TO SELL A DRAFT NOVEL ON SMASHWORDS

    With the first draft of airplanefixer, I was not able to publish on the Amazon Kindle, because non-US writers are unable to register for their Digital Text Platform without a US bank account. Stopped at the first hurdle. This is where SMASHWORDS comes in.

    I did this as an experiment: to see if an unrevised draft / work-in-progress could both sell, if priced low enough and act as a good means for gathering feedback. What follows is my general experience
