Preface

A rational mind will find it difficult to believe that the contents of this book came straight from God. Yet strange things happen and it happens in everyday life.

An open mind will not find it difficult to accept that the divine may use 21st century methods and mediums to deliver what He wants mankind to know and understand. Speaking to God is the 21st century version of messages from God.

The conversations in this book are real-life conversations with God, the Avatar, the ancient one, who comes and walks this earth from time to time as Jesus, Krishna, Prophet or Buddha. The style He used in these dialogues is contemporary, suitable for today’s era, and comprehendible equally to an aspirant and to the inquisitive, in the journey on their spiritual path.

These are straight transcripts. What you have before you are the words of God presented by ordinary mortals who have been used merely as mediums by the divine to accomplish His mission.

The messages in this book provide an authentic original source to learn spirituality directly from the divine. These messages are intended for all His loving children and aim to provide real and day-to-day life examples that anyone and everyone could relate to from their own life’s experiences. To that extent the conversations are in a simple format yet most powerful and life changing.

God has primarily used the parent-child or teacher-student relationship to explain how to realise God or interact with Him, which is universal and easy to comprehend and practice. In such a loving and respectful relationship one can discuss almost anything that impacts us in today’s world. That is why the book has wide-ranging discussions from handling the challenges of life, to understanding economic recessions and natural calamities.

When the child is lost or lonely, he turns to his parent for solace, guidance and direction. The book handles such situations too when the lord lifts our spirits and prepares us to face our deepest emotions and fight our darkest days.

For the inquisitive minds and the intellectuals He has also provided secrets of His Divine Governance. How destiny is created and delivered; who our guiding angles are; what happens to the soul when the life comes to an end; and many such questions that an ordinary mind may like to get answered from the original authentic source of all sources.

For the spiritual practitioner, God has given direct guidance on what meditation is and how to meditate; how to conduct routine daily life; what to blend in our daily life and how to fast track our spiritual journey; the reliance on or relevance of rituals and dogmas; and what pleases God the most.

There are unending questions in an ordinary mind and therefore these dialogues continue beyond these 14 chapters.

For years these dialogues were very private and personal to the presenters (authors in the traditional term) and meant for their own spiritual growth. Now the divine has wished that this knowledge and guidance be shared with those who are as keen and as hungry to develop a one-on-one relationship with their beloved God within their own faith and their own beliefs.

The culmination of the collective spirit and earnest desire of many seekers is the cause of such unbelievable and incredible events captured here in, Speaking to God.

I have been struggling for ideas to write an appropriate introduction for these private conversations with God. The divine has been encouraging us to present these conversations in a book form for quite some time now, but we are not writers nor did we have any idea about publishing. I dragged my feet for quite awhile until His divine directive was so strong that it became abundantly clear He wants these messages in a book and available to all. I suppose the divine wants all His lovers to benefit from these conversations that helped us understand the simple spiritual concepts of life with lessons on practical spirituality. These conversations happened over the course of several years and He acted as our private tutor. The divine may be thinking that if this helped us, it could help many others too and therefore, He wishes for us to share these conversations with the rest of His creation.

I began to pen my thoughts on how to present these private talks and make it available in the public domain without hurting anyone’s beliefs, sentiments or imposing on anyone in any way.

Recently, I heard a Joel Osteen Sunday service on the television. In this service, he talked about opening our minds to new ways of God coming into our life and not allowing ourselves to get stuck in the past methods. He explained how God wants us to be different and relevant to today’s society and not have a closed mind in regards to spirituality; one that remains archived in tradition and drawn from the past. This encouraged me. I thought there might be many others who are also accepting and open to new ways of God coming into our life. Maybe these people, like us, are also waiting for new doors to open and new ways of receiving God and His message. Maybe that is why God is pushing us to give them something different and new, in His divine wisdom and in His love for the mankind.

As I began to put our collection of messages from God into chapters, I realised that we do not have an introductory chapter like a traditional book. Several thoughts came flooding to mind, and several were rejected. I was rather directionless and felt quite helpless. But as always, whenever I am down and lost, I turn to my trusted Lord and Master for help. I went to sleep one a Saturday night with prayers on my lips and gratitude in my heart, asking for help. I knew that He would help if the time were right. After all, this is His mission and we are only mediums for His work. So why stress?

Early that Sunday morning when I was still half asleep, it seemed to me that God was telling me, do not worry my child, it is my book and I will write the introduction, too. I recall having a pleasant and peaceful conversation with Him and God telling me what He plans to write. It was like a dream.

As I woke up and came to my rational self, the experience made perfect sense to me. Only the originator of the book can write the introduction, as He knows what He wants to communicate and why. On one hand I was relieved and on the other I was impatient, wanting to know from Him exactly what He had in mind. So I told my wife Renuka to quickly get ready for our Sunday morning conversation with God, as I could not wait any longer. As always, God, in His infinite kindness and concern for His children, delivered this beautiful introduction and kept His promise.

God: God loves you all. Take my blessings and be good.

What I am going to talk about today is something you can use as an opening chapter, but feel free to build upon it to make it comprehendible from the earth perspective, if you wish.

I am going to talk briefly today about the essence and spirit of living faithfully, which will serve as the introduction to these messages on practical spirituality.

Q: You mean living with faith?

God: I shall explain.

In conservative writing, when you write Yours faithfully, or Yours truly, what do you mean?

Q: We mean that I am signing off the letter or document stating that the writing above is true to my knowledge and the reader can have faith in me that I have meant and written truthfully.

God: That is correct. It is applicable to me also.

In this book I need to sign off as, Yours truly, or Yours faithfully, to be truthful to my mission and this endeavour.

Let me explain in more detail.

The spirit of living means to live in faith and live truly to the principles that God stands for.

I, as the ancient-one, the original first soul, have come to this earth again and again in different eras, with different names, belonging to different religions and sects. However, the only message, for which I came every time, is to demonstrate that I am here to truly and faithfully live up to the expectations of my loved ones and guide them on the true path.

While doing so I had to continuously demonstrate every attribute of mine that will eventually become a way of life and a source of energy and inspiration for my loved ones so they may reciprocate, truly and faithfully, what I have strived to teach and leave behind.

Are you getting the sense?

Q: Yes, God.

God: The very spirit of living is to live by the principles that God has explained whenever he has come to this earth, in order for mankind to be uplifted spiritually and morally.

My mission here is to communicate this to you in a simple form of conversation so that you could also live by those spirits and progress quickly to reach me eternally.

The best example I can give to elaborate this spirit of living is the life of a pet dog. A dog signifies complete faithfulness to his Master.

Regardless of what treatment the Master gives, the dog is completely resigned to the faith that his Master is doing everything in the dog’s best interests. In return for his master’s love and care, the dog reciprocates to the demands and the expectations of the Master - truly, fully and faithfully. The dog’s faith is unchallenged, complete and selfless.

Does that make sense?

Q: Yes, completely. It’s a new perspective and a wonderful example.

God: The very essence of the dog’s life is to be faithful and truly be thankful for everything that his Master has provided. I want you all to be like that faithful dog to your Lord and Master.

In every birth of yours, God has truly and faithfully provided you with the environment to enrich you spiritually, given you the understanding of how to be a good human being, and helped you to apply the principles of living truthfully and faithfully so that you may take that big leap that helps you cross the finish line.

Once again, I shall sign off these messages as, Yours truly, and Yours faithfully, to leave my divine seal and remind you of all that I do for my loved ones and what I expect in return, truly and faithfully.

Q: Surely, and yes, I understand now. We shall certainly try to live life in the spirit of truthfully and faithfully as you command.

Now would you like to explain what to expect from these messages as we read them in the following chapters?

God: Enjoy knowing the simplicity of spirituality.

Relate to all the simple examples in your own life that I have given in our various conversations about how to live as a truly good human being. Remember, my purpose in providing real-life examples is to ensure that everyone can relate to them and apply the principles to their daily lives.

Understand the criteria of being a good human being and how to relate to your soul’s needs, expectations and desires; how to give that big push to the soul to remain always connected to the purpose for which it keeps coming back.

I have explained that birth after birth the soul comes back so that it can give away and shed its accumulated impressions, which only burdens the soul and does not allow the soul to become one with God.

You, as a parent, expect most of the time that your children will be like you or better than you.

It is the same expectation of God as the universal father from His children, regardless of the caste, creed, ethnicity or religion that the soul has chosen to be born in.

As you are guided through these discourses, I want you to understand my expectations of you and how you can achieve them, be a worthy child of mine and make me proud.

As you follow my instructions and progress in becoming a beautiful soul crafted in the eyes of God, I will proudly display you as a shining jewel in my divine crown. That is also your reward and my personal fulfillment.

My expectation is not different, as the universal parent, for any of my child born in Serbia or in Africa?

My expectation for every child is that they should not only do better, but also excel and live up to my expectations. Better yet, go beyond those expectations.

The parent will never wish it to be any other way, but will silently try to provide the child every opportunity or environment for the child to feel enriched and for the child to have the tools available in order to excel. Likewise I, as your universal parent, am continuously providing you with the tools needed to be spiritually elevated, to understand and relate to your inner conscience, the purpose for which your whole being exists.

These conversations are another such tool I am offering to you. I feel these will help you fast track your spiritual progress in today’s era and time.

It is up to each one of you to decide if you want to be on the fast track or not.

There are agents of mine who are waiting to give you help. But do you know from where to take real help and what is the real source of help?

So what do you do? You search, you talk to people, you use new age technology such as the Internet and Google, or you try and read books and find out from where you can get the help you seek. Isn’t it?

All along this process remember that God knows your mind and there are millions like you who are searching too.

So God provides you help at every nook and corner. But do you know what to choose and what to reject? I am asking because you may not be able to evaluate the credibility of the source or know their authenticity. You do not know what to recognize as real help or truly where to go for appropriate help. If you do gain the answers you were seeking you may not know how to make best use of those tools to progress and conduct yourself for the better, truly and faithfully.

That is why sometimes I step in myself. Sometimes I pitch in enormously and other times I help in very small ways, like this one, so that you can receive guidance from the best source of all sources. I am pleased to be your private tutor and your personal guide.

My mission here is for a chosen few.

Not because I have chosen you, but because your soul and your true self wanted to be guided by God Himself, only by the highest of the high.

So it is up to each one of you to be my chosen few and demonstrate that through your actions, deeds and thoughts.

For example, if I tell you to open your window and see the beautiful spectrum of a rainbow, are you interested in seeing that?

It is totally up to you, isn’t it? I can make that beautiful rainbow available but it is up to you to open your window and see it.

You can turn around and say I have seen rainbows many times - what is so great about seeing another rainbow?

But if you look at the rainbow with a different perspective, you might see something more in the rainbow. Isn’t it a possibility?

For all you know the violet in the rainbow may be more pronounced than the yellow and the whole spectrum is magnificently displayed from one end to the other. The likes of which you have never seen before and may never see again.

So it is completely up to you. There is ample opportunity for you to inculcate the spirit of living into your everyday life, from the right source and for the right spiritual understanding.

How much you want to move forward with the principles or how you can become more spiritually elevated is all in your hands.

I have talked about this simple concept in my conversations with you that will eventually form this book.

Whether you are talking about meditation, or how to live life and relate to your environment, or enjoying God’s bounty and beauty while travelling, all these are examples of how you can let the essence and spirit of living into your day-to-day life.

You can choose to acknowledge that your current environment is surrounded by stress and negativity and refrain from doing anything to change your reality. Alternatively, you can choose to free yourself from that environment and live in a more positive manner, guided by God while truly and faithfully living by His simple principles.

So, how do you want to live?

Are you comfortable living a routine day-to-day life with your self-imposed limitations? Or are you willing to say that you are truly and faithfully going to make use of every opportunity that comes your way and every opportunity that is provided to you, for turning your limitations into opportunities?

In these private conversations, which I want you to reveal to all now, I have attempted to offer simple examples of basics of spirituality, apt for today’s era that could be life changing.

Q: There are so many books, so many articles on the web, and so many messages from God in the past. What would be new here?

God: I have just explained to you. You have seen rainbows many times. Do you want to look at it once more?

Q: The question is what are you going to offer that is different this time around?

God: I cannot offer anything different from what I have offered already. All I can offer through my messages and explanations this time is absolute simplicity of those teachings to touch your heart and soul.

It is up to each one of you to gain from it as much as you can.

There are so many books available on spirituality, but do you care to read each one of them? You do not.

You keep going back to only those books or readings that you best understand or you best connect with. Isn’t that true?

You may derive comfort in being conservative, orthodox or puritan. The point is of the opening of your mind and knowing that God’s ways are limitless. God wants to shelve old, clearing the path for the new. What about you? Are you willing to change and accept my new ways?

In these conversations I have given you lessons of practical spirituality that you can easily connect with and if you wish, follow and practice in your everyday life.

I have tried to make you understand that spirituality is simple and easy. I have tried to make you unlearn the difficult austerities, penances or practices that have frightened you away from spirituality in past. I have taught you that spirituality is different from ritualistic religion.

These simple talks do not introduce elements of the Bible, Quran, Gita, or any other scripture or gospel that have been written earlier. This is not about any religion or your faith. This is about you and your life only.

All these years of talking to you have been only to make you understand the path through your own daily life examples. If you think about the simple examples while reading and apply it to your everyday existence that in itself will give you the big push that you require to surge forward on your spiritual path.

In this day and age the concepts of very heavy or explicit messages are not required. The whole reading would show you that spirituality is as simple as fulfilling mutual expectations between a parent and a child.

If you, as an ordinary parent, have certain expectations from your child, you can understand how I, as your universal parent, would also have expectations from my dear children.

Understanding that obligation and expressing your desire to hold your eternal parent’s hand and walk the path shown by him is what practical spirituality is all about.

In essence, the relationship between you and God is as simple as it is between you and your parent.

That should be rather easy to understand for almost everybody. Nobody can take away that knowledge from you. Whether you began parenting at
