About this ebook

From Dec 2009 to Aug 2010, I shut down my website and only posted tri-weekly reports from an immense secret space program that supposedly recruited me. I only let about six people in on the deal. The stat meter on my blog was registering multiple hits daily from Washington, D.C., and Virginia, where several other government agencies operate. I considered it a hybrid of writing and performance art. I wrote most of it off the top of my head. I would sit down three times a week, staring at a blank wall and visualizing what happened in the past few days.

Heater Case

Heater Case has been a writer, musician, and artist since elementary school. He's lived extensively in New York City and Boston, with shorter incarnations in Chicago and Los Angeles. He roots for the underdog because underdogs need good pep talks and that requires being positive and unselfish. He also likes turkey burgers with Eggo waffles instead of buns. That about sums it up.

    Author's Note

    Introduction

I’m telling you all that I can. If some of it seems glossed over, it’s because

    a) I had to leave some things out here and there.

    b) A lot of the science is way over my head, and I’m totally fine admitting that.

Thousands of us were chosen for many different abilities.

Many of us, stemming from all over the world and from all walks of life, have been asked to report to the rest of the world. You have a right to know. I only apologize for the security omissions that will insulate the Arcturus Mission from people who don’t think you have a right to know.

Why did we seem to be blindly run off? Why didn’t we ask more questions?

Suffice to say that enough of those questions have been answered. But there was also a feeling that had been gnawing at everybody in the Mission for all of our lives. Was it a leap of faith? It’s more of an educated guess than that, considering what was revealed to us.

There was something in each of us that couldn’t be measured in facts and figures and proof. There was a sudden clarity, a peace that resonated with an instinct we thought had long ago atrophied with Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy.

I am very different than the person who wrote the earlier reports you are about to read, but it was a slow and gradual shift in the spectrum that brought me to this introduction. In what I guess can only be called a wonderful cycle of completion, this introduction is actually the last transmission I am sending and it is being prefixed by our people back at… well, I don’t want to get ahead of myself.

You may never hear from us again but I hope that, after you read these journals, you will never ever forget that each and every one of you is a child of the stars.

Wednesday, December 15, 2010: All Bets Are Off

The cows have come home and the fat lady has sung, my babies. Things here are about to take a 360 by 360 by 360 turn and I want to keep updating for anyone who wants to follow along. Considering the mind-boggling things I can't reveal and the equally mind-boggling things that I CAN reveal, I've been given permission for an enormous amount of reporting leeway. But transmission windows, compressed data bundles, and actual comm blackouts dictate that I trim it down. I know you're out there and want to be brought along on this adventure.

Friday, December 17, 2010: Greetings From UDL Percival

    WHAT’S HAPPENING.

The simplest answer is the best. In the way that life imitates art imitates life imitates art ad infinitum, and to quote Tim Allen in Galaxy Quest, It's all real.

I have been watched, approached and recruited by an immense and totally unknown space program. This is nothing subversive. This is nothing aggressive. This is all about getting out there and a great deal of the heavy lifting has been in the works for several decades.

Unfathomable resources and incredible technology have been directing this mission for the sake of those of humanity who no longer want to be mired down in never-ending conflict. To cite the esteemed theoretical physicist Michio Kaku, we have yet to achieve a planetary society, and therefore will not evolve to a systemic, interstellar or galactic society at this rate. At least, not until now.

WHY AM I ALLOWED TO REPORT THIS?

Good question. I am one of many 'reporters' on this trip. I was selected for having a sizable readership already in place. There are things I can talk about, primarily for the mission's belief in disclosure and everybody's right to know. However, for security reasons, I have been asked to refer to other crew members by first name only. Personally, I think I'm being allowed to tell you all this because, in the spirit of hiding in plain sight, no one's going to believe me anyway.

Saturday, December 18, 2010: How Did I Get Here?

WHY ME (AND EVERYBODY ELSE WHO IS HERE)?

Let's take a step back, a really big step back.

Some people like to talk about Big Brother. There's another legend out there that everybody in show business is watched by some 'mega-agency' for their entire life.

Well, in this case, let's call it Big Mother. Dating back to (I'm guessing here) Junior High School in Astoria, Queens, I was on someone's radar for a long, long time. It seems like almost everybody I've met in the last week has been under the same long-term scrutiny. I guess whoever we ultimately have to thank for this job was not into rushing things.

    IN A NUTSHELL.

In my case, it seems that:

*My early (and consecutive) writing and artwork about space travel and other life forms

*My involvement in the early 70s with an experimental commune that taught ways of dealing with yourself and others with an 'out of the box' approach

*My volunteer work on a telephone hotline for troubled
