Along the Path - Glennella (Glenn) Key

Praise for Dr. Glenn and Along the Path

I read two of your articles recently and I want to thank you for them. Your advice on soulmates helped me. After three years of trying to jump through the hoops, I realized I had lost myself in the process. I was so tired of never being good enough and consequently being depressed. Your article was a great affirmation for me, as was your article on energy. Believe it or not, I have done your 10 Second Recharge for the past year! Thank you, Glenn! I feel very grateful to God that I was able to see you and gain insight into myself. You are a wonderful sweet woman and I love you. L. Alaska

"We have never met, but I read one of your articles in Alaska Wellness magazine and related to it very much. Something tells me I can trust you. K. Alaska

You told the truth. I especially like the affirmations you gave to help me practice and bring about my desires. Thank you so much !!!!!!!" P. Canada

I recently was given back issues of Car and Driver magazine, and found an article (January, 1994, Ten Best Automotive Predictions) in which you participated. What touched me is how prophetic your statements were…...I just wanted you to know that out of all the predictions, yours was the most accurate, and sadly true. R. California

I felt good about your article, No One Has to Have an Accident. Throughout the reading, it seemed as if you were narrating something I have experienced many times. We operate at the subtle levels mostly during critical moments. To practice operating at the higher vibrations more often is a challenge. Thanks. V. India

You gave a release meditation in your article on relationships. I feel this will be useful for me. I appreciate your help. SA. Alaska

    PREFACE

I write the story of my path, thus far, with a desire to help any who are, as I was, searching for truth. My favorite quote is A miracle is the love that inspires your actions! from A Course in Miracles. A miracle of love inspired my move in 1999 to Alaska and to my many friends whom I love so much. A miracle of love prompted my relocation in late 2005 to be near family and expand my work.

So many people come to me seeking peace and happiness. They do not know why they are here and what their purpose in life is. What peace and joy one can have when they know they are in the right place, with the right people, doing what they came on this planet to do! This is my story and my experiences…..how I found that peace and joy!

Then said Jesus, if you continue in my path.....you will know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. --John 8:31-32

    Chapter 1

    MY PATH

Having chosen to be born the middle child of a fundamental Christian preacher and devoutly religious wife in Texas, I grew up believing everything was sin: no dancing, no wearing of shorts (actually I was my mother’s cute little fat girl so I didn’t wear shorts anyway), no slang language, no kissing boys, and even no movies during one period of my youth. I grew up studying the Bible faithfully. One winter of my teen years, my Dad decided the family should spend every Sunday afternoon studying the Bible all the way through. I can still remember how boring it was as he read all the begats who begat who, and who begat who! Not exactly exciting to three restless young people! At age sixteen, I began teaching the Bible to young children, and for many years I continued studying and teaching the beliefs I had been taught in my childhood home. While working on a degree in education and communication at a large Christian college, I met and married the father of my two sons. He and I worked together with music in large churches in Texas and later relocated to Tennessee where we were writers in the religious publishing business.

All the time my intuitive powers were being developed, and I was growing more aware that the interpretations of the Bible I had been taught were not always accurate. I kept thinking, "There has to be more. Where is the love?" What about Jesus saying, "All that I do, you can do and even greater? What about I Corinthians 12: 10 concerning spiritual gifts? To another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues." I was confused. I wondered why those I had been listening to were not interpreting the scriptures correctly.

My search for truth began! My spiritual guru arrived from South Carolina for dinner in our home. I learned that he was doing non-verbal communication as a faculty member at a school for emotionally-disturbed children who had never spoken. When I began writing professionally he had been my first editor. There had been an immediate connection, because his background in the fundamental Christian church was similar to mine, but he had recognized his spiritual gifts and was using them to teach young children. After dinner that evening he answered many of the perplexing questions that had plagued me through the years. He had just met my two young sons. He told me things about them that he had no way of knowing, which now, many years later, has proven extremely accurate. He talked of God, things of spirit and astrology. His visit resulted in my intense drive for more understanding into the paranormal and metaphysical realms.

I began studying Astrology and Numerology. I was still afraid to trust those intuitive messages I had gotten most of my life, which my mother said were only woman’s intuition. Still very involved in wanting to do what my parents, husband, and the church expected of me, I kept my studies secret. Secret, until one day a song I heard awakened me. I heard the words, I’ve gotta be me, I’ve gotta be me. I realized I was not me, not who I really was….I was a fake! I was everything everyone else wanted me to be. My mother had died, saying that I had never given her one minute of concern, that I had been everything she wanted me to be. That was true; I had lived my life thus far, trying to please everyone else but myself.

I suddenly wanted to be my real self, my best honest self. I threw away the wig my husband wanted me to wear so every hair would be in perfect place. I lost weight and chose my own clothes for the first time in my marriage. I became more open in expressing my beliefs and knowledge. I found others who were also on their search for truth. When I needed support from my husband, not necessarily for my new spiritual beliefs, but in other areas of our marriage; he was not there for me, and the marriage ended.

With my newfound knowledge and tools of astrology and numerology I had concrete, visible evidence to understand the doubts of my youth. I learned that I was an earth-bound three-planet Virgo. That explained why I have to see everything in black and white. With my first Astrology teacher’s interpretation of my natal horoscope, I knew who I was, why I did the things I did, why I had the abilities I had and why I had the insecurities I had.

My thirst for more study in the metaphysical realm did not diminish even though I was in the midst of sustaining a successful international marketing business. I began to calculate natal charts for friends and relatives, never planning to become a professional. They were so enamored with my interpretations, that, finally, after doing free charts for many years, I was persuaded to charge a small fee for what took me eight hours to do. This was the professional beginning of what was to become my life work.

The next fourteen years I traveled throughout the United States and Canada, counseling and giving lectures at Fairs, Expos, and Festivals of all kinds.

In 1999, Spirit revealed to me that it was time to leave Tennessee, but to where? I had an astrological relocation study done, which revealed why living in Tennessee had not been good for my marriage, but was actually good for my emotional changes. I still was afraid of moving, so I acquired mapping software for myself, which confirmed the same information. One of my sons thought I was becoming senile, when I announced that Anchorage, Alaska was the best place in the world for me to live. Though I had traveled throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, Hawaii and England I had never been to Alaska, 3200 flight miles from Tennessee. I knew no one there. I decided to take a long-needed vacation and check it out. Flying over the magnificent mountains before the plane landed I knew I was home! Two months later on Halloween I began living in Anchorage. I immediately found people throughout Alaska who were eager to learn from me, though I continued contact with clients in the lower forty-eight (continental U.S.)
