She writes fantasy and science fiction, as well as a softball, contemporary series for both romance and young adult (Little League Series and Home Run). Before turning to fiction, Chrissy also wrote many nonfiction articles for publications such as Montana Outdoors, Women in the Outdoors, and Jakes Magazine.       Sally huffed up the narrow, never-ending staircase, tripping over her white altar robes every other step. She didn't have time for this !

      Her chest heaved and she paused, holding the small, twisted rail as she caught her breath. If the wedding didn't start on time that meant she wouldn't get to her game on time and Coach Steele had promised new, freshman Sally the lead-off batting position today.

      She had to be there!

      Sally reached within herself for another burst of energy, a second wind to get her up the stairs and into the choir.

      If Ethan was even up there.

      It wasn’t that she doubted Father Matt, or his wisdom, or his uncanny insight. She just had a hard time believing why someone would head up into the dusty choir loft before a wedding—especially when he was altar-serving the wedding.

      A wedding which needed set up and preparations—which she could not do by herself. Not if she wanted to get to her game on time.

      From within the church, amidst the gathering guests, someone shouted, Jesus Christ!
