About this ebook

I get these dream-like visions/recollections just as I am falling asleep. They seem as real as real life. But they aren't. I hope. Especially the one where I am sure I have killed and buried someone in the past and I fear being discovered. It would be tolerable, these "hypnogogic hallucinations", I have had any waking recollections of my past. I don't. Just what my parent tell me. I am sixteen.

    Chapter One

    Hypnogogic… hypnogogic something?

    Hallucinations!

Hypnogogic hallucinations! That's what they're called.

I get those. They're like dreams in a way. They come just as you are falling asleep: but you aren't really asleep at the time. They feel like recollections. Very vivid and they feel that they are absolutely drawn from your own memory but you know, even at the time, that you haven't had that experience you are recalling.

I've had a lot of these but only one has been recurring. This guilt ridden recollection that I once murdered someone and that they are buried out there somewhere.

It's upsetting because it seems so real until I shake myself out of it.

I'm only seventeen. I am pretty sure, at this age, I should still remember my short past in its entirety.

    But I don't.

    Chapter Two

I was in car wreck two years ago. Nothing remains of my past for me to recall from before. I was in a coma and woke into a world that I scarcely recognized. I knew my family still. None of my friends. Some of those friends had been killed in that wreck.

I awoke living in a town I'd never even heard of, in Wyoming; not in Texas where they say I used to live.

I can't say that I am all that crazy about my parents. I guess seeing them with new eyes, I see qualities I didn't see before or mind, as much, at the time. My dad is outright creepy. Not physically. He is actually pretty handsome and in good physical shape for a guy that’s almost thirty eight. His hair is the shits. He wears it this 60's style, ala James Bond. In fact that kind of what I think of when I see him, a greasy
