About this ebook
Jim Money just wants his money back from Chuck. Chuck refuses to pay it back, and when Chuck's hardened brothers show up, Jim is forced to back down as shots are fired as he narrowly escaped danger.
Jim calls his best friend Steve to go collect from Chuck. Meanwhile, Jessica explains to Jim that although she loves the money he makes from illegal gambling and hustling, she wants a normal life free of the dangers associated with his lifestyle. After spending years building his gambling empire, Jim is reluctant at first, but he thinks about it awhile and decides to take a gamble. Besides, he would have a loving wife, and a stable family life free of the criminal elements that haunt him. He realizes that he could have that with Jessica. But before Jim could tell her, she receives a phone call and shuts Jim out.
THE NEXT DAY...
Jim receives a phone call from Carla, Steve's wife.
She insists that her husband and Jessica are having a fling. Jim denies that Jessica or Steve would do that to him, but he humors Carla. He picks her up and they go to Jessica's house. But when they arrive, they are greeted with a more sinister truth.
Will Jim Money get the wife and family life that he wants, or is he biting off more than he can chew?

Former professional poker player Glenn Gamble is an author from Chicago, IL who doesn't have one of those inspiring stories where he goes to the state penitentiary to discover his gift for writing amazing stories. Instead, he worked on his craft during long romantic dates at Starbucks and Panera Bread with his laptop and a story. His inspiration came from friends who encouraged him to pursue his dreams to become a writer. Without a prison sentence, Gamble has managed to pen A Thousand Chances, Bon Appetit, Escape, On the Run, James, and Busted; and is currently writing future installments of both the Jim Money and Darius Blaylock Poker Series. In his spare time, Gamble likes to watch Chicago Bulls games, drop twitter bombs from the sky, slam facebook with status updates, and bet on low-stakes rat and roach races taking place in various public housing project apartments across the United States.

Chapter 1
Where the fuck is my money?!
Jim's face was soiled with anger. He'd been chasing Chuck for two weeks attempting to collect money owed to him. Chuck had managed to dodge Jim in every way imaginable. After a tip from his estranged girlfriend, Jim finally had him cornered.
I don't owe you shit!
Chuck fired back.
I want my money now!

What seems to be the problem, baby bro?
asked one of the men.
Just a little misunderstanding on my friend's part.
Chuck said. Nevermind him, he was just leaving.
Not without my money, motherfucker!
