About this ebook

I'm Coming Down Front Street addresses the ills and foolishness that resides in the hearts of many who live in deteriorating neighborhoods in an inner city. While primarily written about the City of Detroit, much of what is said applies to any community where people do not think too highly of themselves or allow their circumstances to define them.

Sometimes, only the ugly truth about a situation can be enough to change a situation for the better. When some say ignorance is bliss--they may be right, but after reading this rallying cry, no one should be able to claim ignorance and they should get off their butts and get their life back in gear--moving forward, not in reverse.

Living in an impoverished neighborhood is no excuse for people to live like idiots and raise their children like they were never really wanted. When a neighborhood is dying because the people living in it are killing it, someone has to be bold enough, to speak up and be straight up without a chaser, exposing all the dumb stuff that exists in "da hood."

    About The Author

    First Leg Of The Trip

Let me begin this journey of show and tell by saying, I’m tired of all the dumb stuff that happens in the City of Detroit and I’m tired of all the dumb people who commit the dumb stuff.

First of all, there is no need for most of the Nudniks in the City to complain about anything going on in their neighborhoods when many of them are part of the problem. What? Did I accuse people of being problems? You heard that right! Problems causing problems—that’s what wrong with the City.

Let me explain. I had lived in the City for almost forty years. Lived right in the heart of the ghetto, but that did not make me ghetto’’. The reason I stayed in the City was because it was cost-effective" and I really had no reason to leave. I was a home-owner there and took care of my property to the best of my ability, employing others to take care of the outside of my home—cutting grass, shoveling snow—the usual things civilized people do.

Now the Nudniks—are not so civilized and this little book is mostly about them because they are the ones dragging down the City as well as themselves. Who are the Nudniks? I’ve defined them as the following:

Folks livin’ in da Hood who cannot see a future for themselves beyond the local party store because they are too high to be grounded in Wisdom from on High.

They are illiterate, lazy, and trifling, have no common sense, just baby-making, drama-drama.

They don't realize guns don't kill people; idiots with guns kill people. They do not understand gravity when shooting guns in the air--what goes up, must come down--and people die from the bullets that come down on them. They just make babies, never take care of babies and then wonder why the kids are always mad at the world.

They cannot read (comprehensibly) or write (conveying a clear message) and always wonder why their
