The Flight of Icarus is a new age retelling of the Greek myth of Icarus and Daedalus. It takes place in the not so distant post apocalyptic future. Icarus, after the death of his parents, is left to survive in a post apocalyptic future. All he has is the airship that he built with his father before he died. On his journeys, Icarus finds Arianna, the daughter of the self proclaimed King of Crete and the love of his live. Their forbidden love gets Icarus imprisoned in the Kings maze, built by Icarus’ grandfather. In order to reunited with his love he must escape the maze and defeat the King.

Tony Folden is a Full Sail University graduate with a BFA in Creative Writing for Entertainment. He has several years experience acting in independent films and TV pilots. Tony is one of those actors that believes he can write screenplays and actually can. He is under contract with Green Frog Entertainment where he has developed 3 TV pilots. Icarus’ airship, an old wooden yacht with a large canvass balloon attached, hangs amongst the clouds, quietly drifting along the open sky. Icarus, a young, lithe but muscular boy, lies on his back on the deck, his left leg folded over his right in a figure four. He rests his journal on his bent knee, writing as he watches the clouds coast along beside the ship.
Entry 1028
I like flying. I like lying on the deck of my airship looking up at the clouds just a few feet above. It’s peaceful up here. It gives me time to think, to remember conversations with my father. This very airship was the last thing he built before he died. We would sail over Crete Island and over the maze that Grandpa built. Building things seems to be a family trait. I’ve
