About this ebook
Teenage, adolescence and youth are phases that are perhaps the most beautiful in any individual’s life. Yet, for many, this becomes a period of turbulence, turmoil, confusions and many more such feelings. It does not necessarily have to be so. There is no Correct Approach. It has to be a Personal Approach. Each one has to find his or her own way. We are individuals, born with the right to think and act freely. Yet there are views of Others, which many a time, try and push us in Their paths. Sort of Cloning us as per them. Or do We Prefer to be cloned due to our own sense of security?
Ashish Mehta’s book for the youth is not only for the youth, but also for the parents. Parents who feel strongly about their own values and experiences; and wish to hand them over to their children. No doubt, they wish to do so out of love, yet are they mentally fluid enough to understand the young minds? Are their well-meaning intentions, misinterpreted and create friction with their sons and daughters?
Young people of this age have concerns and worries. They are gathering their own personal experiences every single moment. Many are sweet, yet, too many are bitter. Human minds and hearts have as many concerns as to fill an encyclopedia, yet a humble take on just a few, is discussed upon in this book.
Concerns such as Self Identity; Self Worth; Social acceptance; Peer pressure; Friendships; Challenging accepted beliefs; Networking; Depressions; Emotional turbulence; Mood swings; Temper tantrums; Suicidal tendencies; Generation gap; Independence; Career decisions and Life goals; Family related issues; Pressure to choose sides; Rights and responsibilities; Fighting parents; Study tips and a host of other concerns.
To be non-sermonizing about these concerns, yet showing the road to freedom of thought is what this book works upon. And such thoughts with clarity and discernment come only when the mind is still. The ‘Principles of Manifesting Thoughts’ as promulgated by the author, along with the Meditation on Gold; will help the reader to walk his personal path to free and discerning thinking.
Ashish Mehta
The human psyche, per se, is very fickle in nature. The biggest hurdles people face in their lives, is the making of their own thinking. One may call it their attitude towards life, or call it circumstances. The fact remains that they live mediocre lives. Attitudes, circumstances, mediocrity are the by-product of one’s own thoughts. Yet, people don’t wish to acknowledge their responsibility towards their thoughts and their circumstances.Responsible living is a product of responsible thinking. Responsible thinking is a way of life. Our thoughts, not only affect us, they affect our near and dear ones as well as our society. The vision of Ashish is to reach out to as many people in the world and make them look inwards and realize this responsibility – the responsibility of proper thinking. There is a phrase – ‘if wishes were horses, beggars would ride them’. Aptly true. Just wishing and imagining do not attract experiences or create magic. To manifest and materialize visions, one needs to understand the science behind manifesting.Backed with 15 years of research, Ashish brings forth the ‘Principles of Manifesting Thoughts’ – intertwining spiritual and metaphysical laws of life; which are simple to understand, yet extremely deep in their bearing. These Principles guide and make people take responsibility towards their own thoughts and actions, in every sphere of life, to ensure proper and responsible living. They help in opening up the vision of seeing things as they are from all angles. They teach discernment.Ashish takes this a step further, by amalgamating the ‘Principles of Manifesting Thoughts’ to various professional activities of life. He writes on various topics about life situations as well as corporate and professional life factors, creating a synergy and a common platform, for permanent concretizing in thoughts and therefore beautiful lives. Once the individual’s personal wavelength is in tandem with these Principles, he or she begins to not only live realized and meaningful personal lives, he or she begins to manifest the same in their professions as well. That is real empowerment and responsible living, which Ashish wishes to concretize in as many people as possible. It is with this vision in mind that Ashish wishes this knowledge to reach across the globe, along with his commitment to be there for guidance to his readers as well as students of his workshops, throughout life.

Thinking
"If you think you are beaten, you are,
If you think you dare not, you don’t.
If you like to win, but you think you can’t,
It is almost certain you won’t.
If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost,
For out in the world we find,
Success begins with a fellow’s will.
It’s all in the state of mind.
If you think you are outclassed, you are,
You’ve got to think high to rise,
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.
Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man.
But soon or late the man who wins,
Is the man who thinks he can."
~ Walter D. Wintle (late 19th and early 20th century)

Chapter 1
I open myself to you
I am aged 45 now. By adolescents’ standards, an 'oldie'. But even today, a lot of concerns that I had when I was myself an adolescent or teenager, stare me in my face. Maybe I am able to come to grips with it much sooner today, nevertheless they are there.
Guess these issues or concerns are so deeply embedded in my subconscious that even today they prop their heads up. But today I have no one to blame or pass the buck for them. Why? Because now I am an ‘oldie’ and I better come to grips with my own problems.
So when at this age, these concerns rear their heads isn’t it natural to stare at you, the youth, in your faces? Just shows that whatever age one may be at, there are certain worries, anxieties, issues and concerns which are very basic to being human. And the problem is that they have a tendency of embedding in our subconscious.
To understand the embedding of these concerns into our lives, we need to understand whether we in some way or the other help these to become parasites of our lives? Could we take very basic steps to ensure the same is nipped in the bud, so that it wouldn’t embed in our subconscious and therefore our life experiences?
Let’s face it, these concerns, anxieties, worries, are very much there. And when we emotionally allow ourselves to get involved in them, we give them the strength to parasitically suck our happiness out.
Between you and me, we will identify these parasites and in a totally secretive way, work towards coming to grips with them. For this I need you to trust me and I in turn need to trust you. You and me will draw an exhaustive list of these anxieties and worries and then we will work towards tackling them forever, by working to nip the new anxieties in the bud and cleaning the old ones away.

Chapter 2
What are the Concerns?
Hi. Now that we have decided to tackle these anxieties, worries and concerns, let us first identify them. As I am writing this book, I get a head start over you by mentioning some of these concerns. But I want that you too, write separately any other concerns or anxieties that you find relevant to your own or your friends’ lives which you don’t find mentioned here.
Human emotions are so vast, that not all of them can be enumerated at one place only. As we discuss the anxieties and their related handlings here, you would find a method and an understanding of handling various other anxieties too. If there still be concerns which you are unable to address, you may get in touch with me at ashish@ashishmehta.co.in and I will reply to you asap.
So, I have made you a promise of being in touch with you whenever you need my help and in turn I need a promise from you - that you would in turn help other friends, acquaintances, relatives or anyone who needs such help. That’s all. Just spread the good work.
Now let’s enumerate some common concerns and many more will be discussed in related references. So here we go:
Concern 1 : Personality is a part that is dear to every individual. A major portion of our personality is made up by our own perception and projection of
