Advanced Diamond Palm
Advanced Diamond Palm is written for those who have read my previous works and already know how to perform various Hand Breaks. When you have hit a wall in your practice and need a new source and direction of improving on your breaking power, this information can very well put you into the stratosphere of breaking accomplishments. I am primarily writing this book with Diamond Palmist's in mind. A way to increase your Muscle Twitch fiber speed is a great way to increase your Breaking power. When you can use your entire body from the ground up, to the tip of your fingers as one big jolt of lightening, you will know the power of proper body mechanics.
Faster Breaking Speed
For those of you that understand what a (Short-Power Break) is, will also know the need for speed to accomplish it. Let us for a moment examine it. When ones arm and hand are at a distance of say twelve inches for example, from the object they are about to break, their speed accelerates ever faster until it comes into contact with the object about to be broken. To accomplish this break, they must continue this acceleration through and past the object.
If you were to maintain a constant speed, you would soon find it unable to break very much. The need for, ever increasing velocity is the goal here. For example, when your arm and hand are only three inches away from the object to be broken, it will take you four times greater velocity, than it took you at twelve inches. This translates into greater and faster muscle twitch fiber response. How do we train for greater, faster muscle twitch fiber response to accomplish this feat of a three-inch distance break?
I’m glad you asked.
The answer lays in the newest, cutting edge, ongoing sports research. Here we will discuss various techniques and answers to this interesting subject. Although, a lot of this information is geared to non-Martial Arts, and Diamond Palm breaking in particular, it does translate over into the art of breaking seamlessly and very well.
Faster Punching Speed
Punch speed mostly comes from the upper back and shoulders, but the entire body is involved as you punch.
