About this ebook
While many books are available that describe the theory, the history, the induction process and the potential results of hypnosis, induction scripts seem to be well-guarded secrets of the trade available only along with the high cost of a hypnotherapy training package.
The scripts in this ebook were developed by the author after self-study in the subject of induction and made available now to the curious, who may face the same problem: the desire to see and understand the content of an induction script to help complete a self-study of hypnosis. These scripts do not necessarily represent standard scripts used by professional or licensed hypnotherapy practitioners. They simply can help to understand the basic script formats used in hypnotherapy induction.
Of course, scripts are not the only thing you need prior to practicing hypnosis on yourself or others. At the very least, you need a good understanding of what hypnosis is and what it can (or cannot) achieve.
These scripts are recommended solely for the purpose of completing a self-study in the area of hypnosis.

INTRODUCTION
In 1998, when I first decided to study the process of hypnosis, I found many, many books available that described the theory, the history, the induction process and the potential results of hypnosis. What I could not find were standard induction scripts. These, it seemed, were well-guarded secrets of the trade available only along with the high cost of a hypnotherapy training package. However, after much reading, searching, interviewing people who had undergone hypnosis and some self-hypnosis practice of my own, I finally developed a set of scripts for my own use.
I make these scripts available now to the curious, who face the same problem I did many years ago: the total lack of available induction scripts to help complete a self-study of hypnosis. These scripts do not necessarily represent standard scripts used by professional or licensed hypnotherapy practitioners. They simply are scripts I developed for my own use in understanding the basic script formats used in hypnotherapy induction.
Of course, scripts are not the only thing you need prior to practicing hypnosis on yourself or others. At the very least, you need a good understanding of what hypnosis is and what it can (or cannot) achieve. I recently read How to Hypnotize Someone, an e-book by Crispian Jones that contains not only a comprehensive review of the history, theory and practice of hypnosis, but also provides some scripts. I highly recommend that book for study and for use in comparing scripts and induction approaches.
Please be aware that in some U.S. states and foreign countries you actually need a license, as well, to practice hypnosis. Check your own local laws to understand the status of hypnotherapy practitioners before carrying out any sessions in hypnosis using these or any other scripts. To read more about specific U.S. state laws regarding the regulation of hypnotherapy, please visit the Hypnotherapists Union website.
These scripts are recommended solely for the purpose of completing a self-study in the area of hypnosis.
Script #1
The purpose of this script is to help explain hypnosis to anyone who has never before undergone the procedure.
INTRODUCTION TO HYPNOSIS
If hypnosis is a new experience for you, it’s only natural for you to be curious about the process. You will find Hypnotherapy to be an enjoyable experience. During the process you become supremely relaxed, supremely serene. .
First of all, hypnosis is not sleep. When you are asleep, you are unconscious. However, hypnosis is a state of heightened consciousness. When people awaken after hypnosis, they usually forget everything that has
