      It was on this date three years ago, early in the morning, when I first began to realize how great Cormac McCarthy's The Road was going to be. I was six pages in when I jumped up off my chair and ran into the kitchen, waving the book at my ol' lady as if it were a brand new set of car keys.

      You've gotta read this! This is fucking incredible! I said.

      She just smiled happily and asked if I'd like to go watch the squirrels out in the yard.
