About this ebook

Nola asked me, “How would you like to make a million dollars?”
“You don't have a million dollars.”
“No, but Jerry has at least a couple of million, maybe even a lot more.”
“You intend to rip off Jerry?”
Nola said, “Rip off Jerry and then move somewhere he can't get at me.”
“Sounds dangerous.”
Nola said, “It should be simple and not dangerous. I have some knockout stuff that some of the bartenders use. Odorless, tasteless and quick acting. Jerry wants me to come to his place Wednesday night, after work. I'm gonna bring some fancy liquor and the knockout stuff. When Jerry goes to sleep, we rip him off for big bucks. Jerry always makes buys on Thursday, so he'll have at least a couple of million in cash on hand.”
“Why do you need me?”
Nola said, “Jerry has the money in a safe. I can't open the safe. I suspect that you can. With my share of the money, I can escape. All you need to do is open the safe and you get rich.”
“There's a lot more to what you need to do than what you think. I also suspect that there's a lot more than you're telling me.”
Nola said, “That's why I'm talking to you.”
“We need to meet, in secret, and talk this out.”
Okay, we make arrangements and Saturday morning, early, I pick Nola up and we drive over to Clairemont, East of the beach. As I drive, we talk.
Nola is scared for real. She tells me, “Jerry is insane. He's become a really big time drug dealer. However, he wants to become the biggest drug dealer in San Diego. He's apparently negotiating with some Mexicans, so that he can become the main pipeline from Tijuana to Los Angeles. He wants me to screw the Mexicans, so that he can get in with them. Once he gets things started, he'll move in more girls and start a sort of whorehouse based drug empire. I want no part of it.”
I can see why Jerry would want to start with Nola. Mexicans value light skin and blonde hair. When the Spanish first arrived in Mexico, a lot of the conquistadors married Amerind women and the children were mixed, light or dark skinned. The light skinned children got education and careers. The dark skinned children got stoop labor in the fields. The trend has continued to this day, if not quite to the same level.
I then ask Nola, “So, Jerry wants you to fuck his suppliers, so that he can secure his drug dealing empire. Once he gets things going, he recruits more girls and his harem takes care of his business associates. He needs to start somewhere and you're somewhere. Is that the story?”
Nola says, “It's even worse. According to one of the girls, Jerry has bought a whole suite of video recording equipment. Once he gets a girl, he plans to tape her nude and in action. Then, if she tries to resist in any way, he shows people the sex video.”
“Okay, so you have to escape. We rip Jerry off and make a million dollars each. Then what?”
Nola sighs and says, “I can't stay here. Back in high school, I had a best girlfriend. She and her family moved away, far away. However, I kept in touch with her, letters back and forth kind of thing. Her family has a business, quite some distance from San Diego. I can go there and work. I won't need to work for the money, but I do need to work to hide the fact that I have the stolen million. After a couple of years, I can check things out here at the beach and maybe even move back.”
“If you move, you leave a trail, movers, apartment referrals, that sort of thing.”
“Not really. I already gave notice and moved out of my apartment. I moved in with another girl and everything's in her name. I have most of my stuff in storage and I can pack what I have left into my car and just drive away. Jerry can't find me.”
“It appears that you do have a real problem. The place I work, we deal with the military. I can get explosives to break Jerry's safe. If you can feed Jerry the knockout stuff, it should be simple for you to let me in, I blow the safe and we each get a little rich.”

I'm the co-author, with Sunset Thomas, of Anatomy of An Adult Film.I have 48 novels and over 299 short stories currently published.I spent my early years in the part of Los Angeles known as the South Central. I was known as Whi' Boy, which was sufficient to identify me in that place. I'm a skilled Kung Fu player, using a system that I learned from a Korean I knew only as 'Pak.' It would be easier to tell you the places that Pak wasn't wanted by the police, rather than the places where he was wanted by the police. Pak's Kung Fu system, augmented by some bits and pieces from some Chinese practitioners is quick and effective, or I wouldn't be alive today. My early education was mostly obtained by stealing books from the public library (I always returned them and the Librarian even began to provide me with reading lists.) I did go to high schools, but I never really learned anything there. I eventually graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles, UCLA, with a degree in mathematics.I work as a Systems Analyst and also make a part of my living as a professional gambler (legal in Nevada.) I write science fiction and erotica. My published novels are:Anatomy of An Adult Film (With Sunset Thomas)1. Second Chance: God Killer2. Second Chance: Sky Pirate3. Second Chance: Scroll Seeker4. Once upon a time, I lived at the beach, in San Diego. I moved to San Diego to help run a start up company that eventually made me millions of dollars. I really liked the San Diego weather, the beaches, the lifestyle and I thought that I might just spend the rest of my life there. Then, for a variety of reasons, I left San Diego.

For me, San Diego was the beaches, the girls, the surf, the parties and a surfer buddy of mine, a guy named Lonny.

Lonny was a big, blond surf god, who always knew where there was a party and he always had lots of girls hanging around him. Exactly what Lonny did to make a living wasn’t all that clear, but he apparently made good money and he spent it as fast as he made it. Sadly, Lonny’s lifestyle eventually caught up to him.

I’m now living in Los Angeles when I get a call from Nola and I’m now headed back to San Diego.

Nola is a for real San Diego beach girl. She was born in Pacific Beach, went to Mission Bay High School, graduated and then worked in several beach area bars or restaurants. Nola is a quite attractive blonde girl, with a beach bikini body. She would have been a star in the group in which Lonny was involved. However, since she worked nights, Nola mostly missed the wild parties that Lonny and his crew never missed. I don’t think that Nola was ever involved with Lonny, but she knew a lot of the girls that hung around with Lonny. Whatever happened at the beach, Nola knew about through her work and a network of girlfriends.

When I met her, Nola worked as a cocktail waitress at a very popular bar in Pacific Beach, just call it ‘Steamers.’ She knew everybody and got all the gossip around the beach from the boys and girls that hung out in the place. Unfortunately, Nola got mixed with a guy named Jerry and Jerry was indeed bad news. Nola quickly learned that Jerry was not for her. However, Nola found out that Jerry wasn’t going to let her go.

I, for public consumption, never really got involved with Nola, back when. I first met her, at some point in time, when the Friday or Saturday night crowd wound up at Steamers, when she was working. I liked her, because of her bright, bubbly personality and her way of handling people, but we never dated. Actually, I did get involved with Nola back when, but as far as I know, no one else was aware of our involvement, at that time.

One Friday, I had to work late and I went to Steamers to see if I could find that night’s party. I stopped Nola and asked where the action was, that night.

Nola told me that there was a big party down in Imperial Beach, but she needed to talk with me, before I left.

I was in no mood to drive clear down to Imperial Beach, so I waited until Nola got a break and then we met in the shadows, down by the beach sea wall.

Nola told me, I don’t know if you know, but I have been dating a guy named Jerry. Jerry is really bad news and I don’t want to see him anymore. Jerry has threatened me and I’m really scared.

I lectured Nola, I know Jerry a little, mostly I know about Jerry. Jerry deals cocaine in large quantities. He’s very nasty and he’s no one you should even think about getting involved with.

Nola sighed, then asked me, Jason, exactly how big are you?

I said, I’m six four, last time I checked. Why?

Nola said, They say that you’re very muscular, strong and quick.

Puzzled, I said, I play Kung Fu. I’m strong and I know how to use it. Why?

Nola said, Jerry told me that I have to move in with him, or he’ll kill me.

I said, Then, you don’t want full time fun and games with Jerry?

Nola said, No, and it wouldn’t be just Jerry. I would have to also entertain his business friends.

I said, He wants you to be a key part of Jerry’s home entertainment system.

Nola says grimly, I’m not gonna be Jerry’s sex slave. I have a plan.

Suspicious, I asked, Your plan involves me?

Nola asked me, How would you like to make a million dollars?

I said, You don’t have a million dollars.

Nola said, No, but Jerry has at least a couple of million, maybe even a lot more.

I asked, You intend to rip off Jerry?

Nola said, Rip off Jerry and then move somewhere he can’t get at me.
