    Chapter One

    Love is concerned

    GOD’S CREATION AND CONTROL

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

Then God said, Let there be light; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.

Then God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. So the evening and the morning were the second day.

Then God said, Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear; and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good.

Then God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth; and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. So the evening and the morning were the third day.

Then God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; 15 and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth; and it was so. Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. So the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

Then God said, Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens. So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth. So the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

Then God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind; and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

Then God said, Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.

And God said, See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food; and it was so. Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day. (Genesis 1:1-31)

God’s word is true. When He speaks, all doubts vanish because the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.. (John 1: 1-3)

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

    (Revelation 4: 11)

Jesus is the Word, the Way, the Truth, and the Life. (John 1:1, 14:6)

The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein. For He has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the waters. (Psalms 24:1-2.)

God created the heavens and the earth and everything that exists. That means He created all things, including humankind. Therefore we all belong to God. Nobody exists by his own choice or through any deliberate action of his, neither have we evolved from ape-like ancestors. It is just a figment of modern thought to think that human beings came into existence by a quirk of fate or by some accidental combination of circumstances. On the other hand, it is also a forlorn thought to believe that human beings will turn into other creatures after death, based on some kind of karma. Anyone who thinks that is spiritually blind and has been deceived. You need the Holy Spirit of God to reveal the truth to you about where you originated from.

    The Word

Jesus (The Word) Himself resisted the devil and made the devil flee from him. In so doing, he confirmed the scripture which says; Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (James 4:7). The devil has no choice but to obey God’s word, and he flees when you resist him. Move on, always praising God in hymns, prayer and supplication. Don’t forget to ‘eat,’ meaning, remember to read the bible, his Word. One little word quoted by Jesus defeated the enemy, so it is important for you to know the Word of God and apply it to any circumstance. If you study the bible daily, you could read through the bible three or four times a year. Most of the time, as I read my bible, I listen for what the Holy Spirit is saying at that moment, and then I write that revelation on the blank space near the verses I am reading. I am amazed that He, the Holy Spirit, reveals new things each time I read the same scripture. That is why you have to continuously be in the Word; it is our life-time manual.

God is concerned about His Word; therefore use the Word to praise Him. Speak the Word into your circumstances, refer to the Word in your prayer, thank God regularly for His Word, speak to people using His word. When you greet people, say ‘shalom,’ which means ‘peace’, just as Jesus greeted the disciple with the statement: ‘Peace be with you.’ Rest on the Word by waiting and listening to what God says to you as you wait. He said His word does not return to Him void or unfulfilled, but rather, His Word will have success in whatever it was sent to do. God respects His word. He is concerned about you using the Word, the holy bible. God has made some direct pronouncements in the bible about His Word, and He expects us to take advantage of those pronouncements. He said: ‘Come let us reason together’. (Isaiah 1:18) He also says; ‘command me’. (Isaiah 45:11). My friends know the Word and use it. It is true; God is concerned about you using His Word.

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written:

    " For Your sake we are killed all day long;

We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter."

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

    (Romans 8: 31-37)

    A Carrier Of God’s Glory

Is God concerned about you when you are going through a time of persecution? Absolutely! He is! He is the one who can, and will, see you through. Do you remember the three Hebrew men who were thrown into the fiery furnace of fire? (Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego). Do you recall that suddenly a fourth person appeared with them and stood in the fire next to them? The king who had thrown them into the fire confessed that the fourth person was like the ‘son of man’. Yes, that was Jesus, appearing in the fire to protect the three men. Just because you don’t see Him physically does not mean you are alone; no, you are never alone. His holy angels are always at work assigned to minister to us, you need to be aware of that all the time. The Holy Spirit is always around to comfort you. He abides in you, the Most High God resides in your heart. Now, allow Him to take over every part of your body, and you will see the manifestation of God, you will experience His protection and life-changing power. You have become His dwelling place, His sanctuary, a glory carrier. Yes, you carry God within you; you are special, very unique and very different. You are not lucky, you are blessed and highly favored.

So why panic when He tells you to go into the world and spread the gospel. Just go! You are going together with The Godhead; you are never alone. If I can count Father, Son, Holy Spirit and you, that makes four. Why do I hear Christians say, I am lonely when the blessed trinity, I AM is forever with you. He is concerned about you not being alone. The Alpha and Omega has loved you. He knows your need and is ready to help you. Do you get the revelation? Ask Him lots of questions, and you will discover that He is there to answer. For instance, if you have misplaced your keys or you can’t think right because you under a lot of stress or pressure, ask the Holy Spirit to show you where the keys are. Ask him to give you a sound mind. Don’t go on confessing negative thoughts or speaking out things that are not right, then you turn around and say that you were joking. You may hurt people with your unkind words when you do that. Remember, the scripture encourages us to avoid filthiness, foolish talking or jesting, which are not fitting, but rather, giving of thanks. (Ephesians 5:4)

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he… (Proverbs 23:7)

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart[a] brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. (Luke 6:45)

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto death. (Revelation 12: 11)

Jesus is life, because he is alive. He rose from the dead; all other religious leaders are dead and their bodies have decayed, waiting for the second coming of the King of kings, Jesus. He is risen and alive, and will come back to raise up the dead and judge the world, Amen. Oh! We shall rule and reign because He has made us to be kings. I’m excited; get ready because His Word and Promises are true. Before I accepted Jesus as my Lord, I loved Jesus and I loved the Holy Spirit of God. How? You may ask. Have you heard people say; ‘I knew that was going to happen?’ How did they know? There was something within me; I felt that something within me, which told me that I would come into an encounter with Jesus. Is there something within you, and what is it?

    He Cares

You have the spirit of God dwelling in you, you were created in His image, but it is just that you don’t have a relationship with Him because
