A Positive You: Change Your Life with the Power of Positive Thinking
()
About this ebook
Have you always wondered why some people seem to sail smoothly through life and others struggle and never reach their full potential?
More often than not, the difference comes down to just one thing: their thinking.
Look around you. Study those who experience success in nearly every aspect of their life. You’ll discover that they are positive thinkers – optimists. Those who struggle, hit impenetrable roadblocks and never get ahead usually come from a negative perspective.
If the latter describes you, but you still yearn for something greater, don’t despair. You can change your thinking pattern, relatively easily and quickly. And this book, “A Positive You: Change Your Life with the Power of Positive Thinking,” will show you how to do just that.
It not only provides you with an explanation of the scientific reasoning behind the success of positive thinkers, it’ll give you a step-by-step approach to turn even the most pessimistic person into an optimist.
In addition to the chapter dedicated to this systematic approach, this book provides you with plenty of tips and techniques to give you that shot of optimism you occasionally need throughout your busy work day.
Ready to change your life from so-so to sizzling? Then you must read “A Positive You: Change Your Life with the Power of Positive Thinking” today!

There is a unique sense of accomplishment in reading a book that one enjoyed: it stays with you like an ally, a friend, with an unspoken loyalty and a positive influence on your own creativity.

A Positive You - Elizabeth O'Brien
Introduction
Imagine your life five, even ten years from now. What does it look like? Do you see yourself as successful and happy? Or do you envision yourself struggling financially, in your relationships even in your career?
Your answers to these questions are good indicators of whether you’re an optimist—a positive thinker—or a pessimist, one whose thoughts seem to naturally focus on the less than good side of life.
If you can’t see your life improving with the years, then you are more than likely a pessimist—one who expects the worst and usually gets it.
What if I told you that even if you’re currently less than optimistic, even if you’re a die-hard-core negative thinker, you can change your view of life? You can transform yourself into a positive thinker. You can begin to expect the best of life—and get it, consistently!
You’ll discover that, once you even begin this transformation, your life will begin to change to conform to your new, improved outlook. Oh, they’ll be subtle changes at first. But don’t discount these small changes, especially when you’re in that transition period. These open the doors to even larger changes.
If you want to change your life, then you must begin by changing your thoughts.
It could be that you believe the situation you’re encountering right now doesn’t lend itself to positive, uplifting thoughts. That’s what people say to me more often than I care to recount. They have a laundry list of what they say are good reasons for not being very optimistic about things. What exactly are some of the roadblocks that prevent people from adopting this new and exciting approach to life? Below are just a few of the reasons they give.
Difficulties in their marriage
Experiencing a rough divorce
Loss of a loved one
Poor self-esteem
Poor self-confidence
Not knowing their purpose
Lack of goals
Financial problems
Loss of employment
Yes. I agree none of these conditions is pleasant. And they can punch you in the stomach and knock the wind right out of you. But believe it or not, these are the moments when thinking in a more optimistic manner can make all the difference how you get through the problem. Certainly, brooding over them only invites more negativity your way.
I don’t say this lightly or unkindly. I say this with an inner wisdom of someone who once thought this positive thinking malarkey
was a hokey concept that only worked in movies.
My life was less than good. In fact, I wondered every morning when I woke up what I had done to deserve such a dismal existence. Did the powers-that-be really dislike me that much? Did I do something that really teed them off? Then I decided that I had had enough of that kind of life. Even though it seemed highly unlikely, I started examining this concept a little closer. I figured my life couldn’t get much worse. Despite my apparent misgivings, I decided to give it a try.
I began reading everything I could find. Books. Web sites. Magazine articles. I read how some experts said you can actually change and improve your focus simply be changing your thought patterns.
So, skeptically at first, I tested it. I wasn’t ready yet to jump in with both feet. But, I slowly saw changes in my luck.
I slowly experienced more fortunate events than unfortunate ones. And now I’m here to tell you that once your change your thoughts, your life really will start to change. It’s pretty miraculous to watch this happen.
How I Use the Awesome Power of Positive Thinking
Now I use positive thinking every day. It’s actually a habit—and a fine one at that. I employ it in setting and reaching my personal, financial and career goals, to attract more customers and even to meet my financial needs and responsibilities.
The Biggest Test of All: Illness
Several years ago, I found myself in the hospital facing major surgery for a life-threatening condition. When the doctor told me my condition, I wagged my finger in his face and defiantly said, I’m not going anywhere. I need to stay here for my 19-year-old daughter. And besides I’ve got a novel I’m writing. And it’s only the first of many.
I
