About this ebook
When you have a whole lot of money it sure can make a difference. It is the make and break. The be all and end all. But it was one thing that Katja did not flaunt. She lived in a little B&B and travelled by bus every single day. Well, she was a school teacher. They certainly did not earn a fortune. And she did not want to draw attention to herself in any way. A bright red sports car did not fit in with the role at all.
When Katja met Luther he wasn’t aware of her wealth. When he did find out it did matter to him. It was a huge problem for Luther. He had the firm belief that he had to be the breadwinner. He was a little old fashioned in that respect. It brought their relationship to a grinding halt. It was so important to Luther to be able to provide for his wife.
Katja understood how he thought. She knew he was not going to change his mind. But then things did change. There was something else that triggered Luther’s emotions.

CHAPTER 1
Katja stood at the edge of the shore. She took a deep breath and smiled as she looked at the ocean. She rolled her jeans up to her knees and started walking in to the water. She stood and looked out at the calming waves. Feeling the soothing water as it lapped over her legs. She looked down and chuckled and wiggled her toes in the sand. She whispered to herself.
This is home. This is going to be home.
Katja took a deep breath and opened her arms wide and closed her eyes and smiled. She whispered.
Please let me be happy. Please let this be the perfect job. And please let me find the perfect home.
Katja opened her eyes and smiled. She suddenly started laughing as she realized she was wet up to her thighs.
Oh what the hell.
Katja sat down in the water. She got up again and walked into the ocean. She started to wade into the water. Katja went a little deeper and started to swim. She laughed as she bobbed up and down in the ocean. She started swimming back to the shore at a leisurely pace. She slowly walked. Her jeans were sopping. Her T-shirt was sopping and her hair dripped. Katja smiled as she ran her hands over her hair. Pulling it right back from her face. Katja walked over to the open air shower. She opened the tap and stood under the shower fully clothed in her jeans and T-shirt. Wetting her hair and pulling it right back away from her face. She smiled as people walked by giving her strange looks. She whispered and smiled.
No one in this town ever take a shower?
She grinned and giggled as she turned the tap off and stepped out of the shower. She was drenched from head to toe but for the first time in a long time she felt alive.
Katja walked over to the bench where she had left her sandals. She bent down and picked them up and smiled at the gorgeous gent sitting on the bench. She couldn’t help but look at him. Sporting dark eyes, dark hair and his big build. She felt a little jolt in her stomach as he smiled and looked up at Katja.
Pretty bra.
Katja suddenly looked down and gasped as she saw what he was looking at. Katja suddenly covered her breasts with her arm. She turned a deep shade of red.
Oh my gosh!
He gurgled with laughter. He pulled his golf shirt off. Katja stared as she watched him handing the shirt to her. He had an awesome build. Katja couldn’t take her eyes off of his muscled and hairy chest. Her eyes roamed all over his body. He was pure man and muscle. Katja almost groaned as she looked at his body. Her hands wanted to reach out and touch his body. She suddenly looked up into his eyes.
No, I couldn’t.
I think, maybe, you should.
He held up a towel.
Come.
He stood up and held the towel in his hands and put it around her. Holding both ends so that she could stand in front of him and be sheltered from anyone walking by.
Turn around and quickly take your T-shirt off. No one is going to see a thing.
Katja nodded and put his T-shirt over his shoulder. She felt as her hand touched his shoulder. The slight touch sent a jolt of electricity coursing through Katja’s arm. Luther felt her touch. He could feel the heat coursing through his veins. Katja suddenly looked away as she turned around and whipped her T-shirt over her head. She eased her bra off with her shaking hands. Luther stared. He almost groaned as he watched her taking her clothes off. Her smooth pale skin gave his insides a jolt. He wanted to spin her around and take her in to his arms. When she had touched his shoulder he felt branded. Seared by the heat of her hand. She whispered.
Close your eyes.
Okay.
Katja turned around.
This is going to be cold.
She draped her T-shirt over his shoulder. Luther shuddered and smiled. Katja grinned.
I warned you.
Yeah well.
She took her bra and put it on top of her T-shirt. She quickly took his T-shirt from his other shoulder and pulled it over her head. Luther kept his eyes closed. He could smell her beautiful scent which was right beneath his nose. He wanted to pull the towel and have her falling into his arms. Just one little tug would do the trick. Luther felt his whole body tingle as the thoughts went through his mind. Never before had he felt this way about a woman. A total stranger.
His thoughts were jolted suddenly.
Right. I am all respectable now.
He opened his eyes and smiled at the bra and T-shirt draped over his shoulder. Katja took them in her hands and bundled them up. Luther let the side of the towel drop. She smiled.
Uhm, thank you.
He nodded and moved the towel back into his hands and sat down.
I’ll get your T-shirt back to you. Can you give me your address, please.
He nodded and took out a card from his wallet and wrote his name, cell phone number and address on the back of the card. Katja read the card.
Thanks.
Katja looked up and pronounced his name, properly.
Luther.
Luther looked up.
How did you know?
Katja smiled.
They all probably say Luther, but I know it is Looter.
Luther smiled and nodded.
Yeah. If only people took the time and listened.
Katja chuckled and nodded.
Katja turned as a young woman walked up to them in a barely there bikini.
Ready?
Luther nodded and stood up. He tossed the towel at her.
Hop in the car. I’ll be there in a minute.
Ursula looked Katja up and down. Katja frowned.
I’ve done enough damage for one day. Thanks.
She looked up at Ursula.
Sorry to intrude on you and your girlfriend. I’ll return this. Thanks.
She slowly picked up her sandals and walked away. Luther looked at Ursula.
How rude!
What?
The way you looked at her. Good Lord Ursula. That was not nice.
Ursula shrugged her shoulders as she dried herself off.
Where is your shirt?
Luther looked at Katja. Ursula looked at Katja as she walked. She looked on the bench.
And those are hers?
Luther picked up the little bundle of clothes.
Yes.
Ursula wrapped the towel around her body and smiled.
So who is she?
Luther shook his head.
I don’t know.
There was suddenly a little noise. Ursula looked down.
It’s a cell phone.
They looked everywhere. Ursula pointed to the bundle he was holding. He quickly opened the clothes and took out the cell phone. It was still ringing. He quickly answered.
Hello.
Luther smiled as he listened. An elderly woman rattled off in the fastest German he had ever heard. He spoke to her in German and quickly cut her off.
This is Luther. I think you might have the wrong person. She left her phone behind.
The woman suddenly stopped talking.
Who is this?
Luther.
And what have you done with my daughter?
Luther stood and laughed.
No gosh. No. Nothing. Honest. She left her cell phone on the bench. I have to return it to her. But I don’t know where.
Right. Well. I would not know either.
Luther frowned.
What do you mean?
She moved. What town are you in?
Luther grinned.
You tell me her name and I will tell you what town I am in.
The woman laughed.
No.
Luther grinned.
No?
Right. Sonny. Where are you?
Luther stood and laughed.
At the beach.
Uhu. Which beach?
Not telling.
Right my boy. Now you try and find her and when you do you tell her that her mother was looking for her.
Are you going to yell at her like you just yelled at me?
No. I am going to tell her how stupid she is.
Right.
Right.
And why is she so stupid?
Because.
Because why?
Because she didn’t do anything wrong!
Luther sat down on the bench.
What does she think she did wrong?
She sighed.
She turned him down. And you know what?
What?
I admire her for saying no.
Luther nodded.
You mean no to marriage?
Yes. Of course. She didn’t love him. And she told him that a thousand times. And then when. And I am not telling you this.
Gosh no.
He tried to make a move on her and she wouldn’t. She just wouldn’t jump into bed with him.
Good!
Exactly. My sentiments exactly! When you find the right man you know. And she is saving herself for the right man.
Well, I agree. That is exactly how I feel. Doing the same myself. Even though I am a man.
It was suddenly quiet.
Really?
Yes. What is the point of sleeping with loads of women when it means absolutely nothing. That is pure sex. What I am looking for is someone who I can make love to. Cherish and love.
I like you!
Luther bellowed with laughter.
Are you good looking?
Luther looked up.
Big oops. Here she comes. And she is not looking happy!
Of course she is not looking happy. She frowns when she is mulling something over. Watch her right hand waving in the wind.
Luther looked up and looked at her hand which was quietly being moved in a circular fashion from the wrist and smiled and nodded.
She guards that phone with her life!
Well, it was nice to chat.
Yes. Lovely. And don’t say a word.
Won’t.
Luther cut the call.
CHAPTER 2
Ursula walked back to the bench and stood next to Luther. Katja walked up and smiled. Her frown had vanished. She whispered.
Thanks.
She took her bundle of clothing and her cell phone from Luther. She looked at it and looked up at Luther. He looked into her eyes. He didn’t even blink. Katja looked into his eyes. She was mesmerized. They stood looking at each other for what seemed like ages. Luther felt as if he was drowning in her eyes. He felt drawn to her. Katja’s huge eyes were lost in his. It felt as if they were caught in time where nothing and no one else existed. Ursula quietly coughed.
Can we go now?
Luther turned away from Katja. Katja smiled shyly as she turned.
Bye. I really am sorry.
Luther stared as she walked off. Ursula looked at Luther and looked at Katja.
Hell, she’s got a body and a half!
Luther smiled and nodded. Ursula nodded and pointed.
She’s built. Even the big T-shirt doesn’t hide a thing. Wow Luther. She’s lovely. Look at her lovely hair. And she doesn’t even know it!
Luther smiled.
Yeah.
Ursula nodded.
What is her name?
I don’t know.
Ursula shook her head.
So how are you going to find out? I think you fancy her.
Luther sat on the bench. He leaned forward.
That obvious?
Ursula nodded.
Oh yeeeeah!
Luther chuckled and shook his head and had a huge smile.
Ursh, you should have seen her playing in the surf. She had her jeans rolled up. Then she got wet. Then she just went ahead and swam. In the surf.
Ursula smiled.
So she is a real person. Is that what you are trying to say?
Luther nodded.
Real. You know what she reminds me of?
Ursula shook her head.
When you go to the beach and you build sand castles with the kids. And the mother gets stuck in and enjoys it just as much. That kind of person.
Ursula sighed.
But, those people hardly exist. Other than Mum. She loved playing with us. Remember when we played rounders in the garden. She was always there.
Luther chuckled.
Mum would like her.
Ursula nodded and smiled. She looked down at his hands.
And that?
Luther chuckled.
I wrote her Mum’s number down.
Ursula grinned.
It’s a start. Clever.
Luther smiled as he punched the number into his cell phone and dialed. Katja’s Mum answered.
Load this number. This is Luther. And this is my cell phone.
The woman gurgled with laughter.
Load me as Olga.
Will do. And when you find out where she is I want to know.
Olga chuckled.
You like her?
I certainly do. She is absolutely beautiful.
Luther cut the call and smiled.
Got her Mum. Now I just need her.
Ursula smiled.
Ask the Mum for her number.
She won’t. It’s all a protection thing Ursh.
Ursula smiled as they both walked to the car.
Katja walked along the beach. She smiled to herself. He was the nicest looking man she had ever seen. He was all male. Katja groaned and chuckled. She turned her head and looked back. They were both watching her. Katja giggled as she waved. They both waved back. She crossed the road to her little Bed and Breakfast with a huge happy smile. She chuckled as she walked in, closing the gate behind her.
Luther and Ursula watched as she disappeared from sight. Luther almost whispered.
Where did she vanish to?
I don’t know. Probably parked somewhere there.
Hope not. She is sopping.
Ursula grinned and chuckled.
Bet you anything she drives a sports car.
So what would she drive?
Ooh, something really sporty and flashy.
Luther grinned.
I don’t think so. I think she drives a sensible little car. Like yours.
Ursula grinned.
I only do that so that people don’t get fancy ideas.
Luther nodded and hugged Ursula.
I know you are not a snob.
Ursula nodded.
It’s just uncomfortable. The minute you have a flashy car people think you are suddenly made of money.
Luther nodded.
Which you are.
Ursula chuckled.
On paper. Yes.
Luther nodded and smiled.
And in the bank.
Ursula nodded and gave a tiny little sigh.
Yeah. But I am saving every penny. Rather than start spending and waste everything.
Luther nodded.
Yeah.
He gave Ursula a little hug as they walked to the car.
Sensible.
Ursula nodded in agreement.
Katja walked over to her room and went straight to the bathroom. She climbed out of her jeans and took the T-shirt off. She hopped into the shower and stood under the heated spray. Katja smiled as she had a quick shower and heated her skin. She put a warm pair of tracksuit pants on. She smiled as she took the T-shirt and put it back on again. Katja sighed and whispered.
Now that is a true man. A real gentleman.
Katja moved to her little sitting area and sat in the sun. Her thoughts were running wild. He was a beautiful man. He had gorgeous eyes. And when he spoke it was as if his words were stroking her body. He was kind and caring, and very thoughtful. And when he closed his eyes he looked so appealing. Katja took a deep breath and could smell Luther’s fragrance from his T-shirt. Katja smiled as she took in the fragrance.
And he has the perfect girlfriend. Oh well. If I chose someone it would be him. Because I think I am in love.
Katja giggled.
Oh Lord!
Katja closed her eyes and lay her head back against the sofa. She felt tingles all over her body. She felt her nipples harden. She groaned as she felt a warm sensation coiling through her stomach and between her legs. Katja
