Bear Heart
Marcellus “Bear Heart” Williams (1918 - 2008) was one of the last traditionally trained medicine persons of the Muscogee Creek Nation. His teachings wove together the knowledge of many traditions as Bear Heart was an ordained American Baptist Minister, Road Chief, and renowned spiritual counselor. Speaking in 13 Native American tribal languages, Bear Heart was considered a Multi-Tribal Spiritual Leader and was called upon internationally for his healing work. Bear Heart received formal education from the all-Indian Bacone College in Muscogee, Oklahoma. He later majored in Biblical Greek and earned a divinity degree from Andover Newton Theological Seminary in Boston, Massachusetts. Bear Heart’s wisdom, traditional medicine knowledge and spiritual compassion made him a sought-after figure. He prayed with President Truman, he spoke at the opening of the Smithsonian Native American Museum, and he was a spiritual counselor for firemen and their families after the Oklahoma City tragedy in 1995. Following the attacks of September 11, 2001, Bear Heart served on former President George W. Bush's Faith-Based Initiative Panel for the U.S. Department of Health's "When Terror Strikes" conference in New York, and he put down prayers with police and firemen at Ground Zero in New York City. Bear Heart’s first book, The Wind Is My Mother, has been translated into 14 languages. His second book, The Bear is My Father, is co-authored by Reginah WaterSpirit, his Medicine Helper and wife of 23 years.

I dedicate this book to my mentor and spiritual father, Papa Steve. You walk beside the God and Goddess now. I hope your son has made you proud.
Introduction
In 2008 I received my full initiation into the magical religion of Wicca. I was initiated as a 3rd Degree High Priest, under my mentor, and brought into the full mysteries of the Great God and the crossroads mysteries. I also completed the trial of Arthur and claimed my magical sword of a High Priest as well as earned my Horn Crown through a highly physical and grueling nine-day final initiation.
I shall detail in this book the necessary steps for you to begin your own journey into the mysteries of Hoof and Horn & Vine and Grain.
Much of what I inherited comes from authentic European witchcraft. Perhaps more accurately stated, unbroken traditions of witch-cults and magical secret societies, centered on the veneration of particular deities and spirits. These traditions migrated out of Europe, taking root in various areas throughout North and South America.
My mentor and spiritual father was born in Cuba, traveled through Latin America and ended up in Haiti where he was initiated into Haitian Voudu and later became a Houngan Asogwe or Voudu Priest of the Highest Order. He was also initiated by a High Priestess of Wicca named Tanath, for whom I know very little about and, regrettably, may never know because he took many secrets with him to the grave in 2009.
By combing through my notes and piecing together our conversations I believe that Tanath herself might have been from South America. From whom she was initiated into Wicca or how she came to be instructed into the mysteries of both the crossroads of the God and Goddess among others, sadly I do not know.
The tradition of Wicca I inherited has at its core two main mysteries; the four-way crossroad of the God and the triple crossroad of the Goddess. Both of these mysteries reflect slightly different cosmological placements of the God and Goddess within the mythology of Wicca. Yet they complement and strengthen one another into a cohesive tradition of Wicca for a High Priest and High Priestess to better maintain, guide and protect a coven.
The crossroad of the God mystery is a fierce and unquestionably masculine path. That does not exclude women from learning this mystery. I believe my mentor wanted women to become initiated into this tradition so that they could become intimately linked to the God, just as he wanted me to finish my initiation into the crossroads of the Goddess so that I could be more intimately linked to her.
I will teach you how to ritually prepare two essential items for all your magical workings within this tradition of Wicca. These two items are the sword and the cauldron, which will be concentrated under the patronage of the Great God of Wicca. In this tradition he is known as the King of All Witches.
For those of you who are at least familiar with Wicca or Ceremonial Magic, the sword will not be a foreign concept. However, in this tradition of Wicca, the cauldron is no mere symbolic representation of the womb. A cauldron is specially prepared to be a type of magical house which contains the very essence and mysteries of a particular deity or powerful spirit.
It is my hope that by revealing this little known tradition of Wicca others may begin to benefit and become spiritually enriched from it. I no longer wish to be its sole inheritor and I believe it is long past time to share this tradition with all who feel called to it.
Make no mistake. This is a true sorcerous path and at times an arduous one to walk, but completely worth the effort to do so.
I open for you the first path you must walk before you reach the crossroad of God. Here you will discover the invocation, mysteries, rituals, magical exercises and items belonging to the King of All Witches. It is here where it is said you will cut your tender feet on a rough road
but have no fear. You will find a God who ferociously protects those who honor him and is eager to guide you into life-changing mysteries and world-altering magic.
Chapter I
The Great Horned God
The Horned God of Wicca is the fountain of all masculine energy. He manifests and encompasses male sexuality, strength, endurance, ferocity and magic.
The title Great Horned God
is a catch all when describing his multiple titles and many functions within this tradition of Wicca. Think of the following titles as nine keys
that open the doors to the multiple aspects of this masculine force.
The Nine Titles of the Great Horned God
1) The King of All Witches
2) The White Stag
3) The Pale Lord
4) The Bull of the Fields
5) The Big Horns
6) The Red Eyed
7) The Black Goat
8) The Wounded Stag King
9) The Three-Horned King
In this book you will learn about the profound mysteries that go along with his first title, King of All Witches
.

Day: Wednesday
Wednesday is a powerful day for magic. Not only due to its connection with mercurial emanations but also because of its deep connection to the crossroads. Wednesday falls as the middle or potential high and low point of the week. A day of certain paradoxes, balances and even unbalances. This is the day that the messengers of the Gods and Goddesses are most active and astral manipulation done with this acknowledgment is very strong indeed.
Times: Noon and Midnight
The King of All Witches is ever present and active in the physical world and astral realm. Though he can be called on and invoked at anytime, his peek points are noon and midnight because they are auspicious times of the day.
The power of noon, with the sun at its peak, has dominion over the sky. This signifies powerful masculine energy in its prime.
Midnight, by contrast, is thought of as the darkest part of the day. From midnight until 3:33am is universally known as the witching hours, where spirits find the veil to our world thinnest and magic workers find they can slip into the dreams of others.
At this time a great deal of magic is done at both the crossroad and the cemetery.
Animals: Ram, Serpent, Eagle and Bat
The King of All Witches is usually expressed as two distinct combinations of ram, serpent, eagle and bat. Each of these animals is representative of and encompasses essential elements to his vital essence and his truth nature.
During the day he is seen as having a serpent body, wearing a ram’s head and horns with eagle wings.
At night he is seen having a serpent body, head and horns of a ram with bat wings.
Ram: The King of All Witches exemplifies his fiery, powerful and aggressive forward-charging force of the Ram. Breaking through barriers and fiercely defending its territory.
Serpent: The masculine life force and creative energy of the serpent is symbolic of electricity, lightning, conductive force and sexual power. The King of All Witches is often referred to as the Great Invisible Power and is sometimes seen holding a snake.
Eagle: The eagle is the mighty power of the noonday sun at the peak of its strength and influence. The eagle’s keen eyesight reflects the fact that nothing escapes his notice. He possesses the ability to swoop down on someone like a ton of bricks and strike like a bolt of lightning, seemingly out of nowhere. He teaches his adherents the same level of magical force.
Bat: The bat is the magical energy associated with the dark and intimidating powers of midnight. The bat can successfully hunt for food in abject darkness. This symbolizes that there is nowhere to hide from the King of All Witches. He possesses unheard of psychic powers and his followers often become notable psychics in their own right.
Chapter II
Tarot Associations
The Tarot cards are a relatively recent addition to this tradition but they do fit exceptionally well. I strongly urge you to use the Rider-Waite deck for the appropriate symbolic keys.
The following chapters will detail the symbology of the cards as they relate to the King of All Witches and not necessarily the Tarot.
The Devil
The image of a large horned figure stands on a stone pedestal. This is the King of All Witches in his heaviest, tyrannical and most earthly form. He points a burning torch downward to illuminate and expose the truth of man’s darkest desires, thoughts and the location of his or her most potent magical energy. Two human figures stand opposite of each other chained to the central stone pedestal.
The King of All Witches is the king of the material world in this tradition. He manifests for everyone their reality as dictated by their own sustained thoughts, primarily their unconscious ones. He will burden and limit you with dull physical matter if you wish to stay chained to the base material world and allow him remain your captor.
However, if you wish to have freedom from your chains, your soul to take flight, to use the material world as buildings blocks to manifest your dreams and as stepping stones to write your name amongst the stars, then he is the great initiator and your source of liberation.
This is sometimes a difficult image for most to overcome. The fear of the devil is instilled early in the minds of children and is an insidious one that supports, strengthens and compresses all other fears.
There is without doubt evil in the world and horrendous evil at that. There are spirits, non-human intelligences and inter-dimensional beings who delight in seeing
