Author

Jeremiah D. MacRoberts

Jeremiah D. MacRoberts is academically trained as a philosopher (BA, University of Kentucky) and minister (MDiv, Lexington Theological Seminary). He joined the US Army following high school as a Private, currently holding the rank of Captain; over the course of his military service he has served as an infantryman, a special operations soldier, and, more recently, as a chaplain to both current service members as well as veterans (from WWII to Afghanistan eras of conflict). Chaplain MacRoberts has also served as a rural church pastor and a chaplain for civilian hospice. An avid reader, gamer, and amateur Arthurian Legends scholar, he uses this wide variety of life experiences to inform the characters of his fiction: encounters with group dynamics, traumatic stress, recovery, morality, wisdom, destiny, faith, fear, emotional grief, physical pain, and all subjects between have been incorporated into how his characters think, feel, and act in their world. Jeremiah MacRoberts is currently focused on his 10 part "Swords of Faith" fantasy series, but has plans to utilize other career experiences to write contemporary adventure stories, absurdist dark comedy, westerns and Americana with a paranormal twist, and narratives about pastoral encounters and real-world ministry as well.
