He's Just a Little Bit Special: My experiences and advice on parenting a child with mild special needs

About this ebook
This is the story of my son, adopted at 14 months who has several "mild" special needs. He is too "regular" to fit in with the Special Ed students, and too "special" to fit in with the regular students. This book is a small window looking in on a child that has many different issues, and includes advice on the help and services available.

I have had quite a journey with Kevin, and I have made a lot of mistakes along the way, even though he is only six years old . Please don’t take anything that I say as medical advice, ask your doctor if you have any questions about your child’s development. My son's name has been changed from a rather unique K
name to Kevin
in this Ebook.
Chapter 1: We Meet
I was idly browsing the racks at Marshall’s on a nice April morning when I got the call. It was my social worker, Meredith. She told me that she had the file of a 14 month old baby boy named Kevin, and did I want to meet him? Suffice to say that I did, but before I could meet him, I was to have
