- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Back into Star Trek again I go. I read this on my Kindle, audiobooks just not an option with most Star Trek books sadly.
Anyway, as you can see on the cover this is a book involving Data, B4 or Sooong or whomever. I happens over 4 years after the last movie Nemesis in which they killed Data and Data had dumped his memories into B4. This is the first of 3 books from one of the better Star Trek authors.
Overall I enjoyed the book pretty well. The characters are for the most part spot on to what they are in the shows and movies. The story works well I think and explains enough of things you may have missed not reading previous books or even seeing all the shows and movies. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Well, it wasn't the 'Destiny' series, but I probably shouldn't have expected it to be. The Body Electric wasn't a bad trilogy, but it left me wanting more. I like how things ended with Data in this book, but did we really need to see Wesley Crusher again? Can we please just let him be a Traveler and let him, well, travel? I was totally fine with the character, don't get me wrong. This is not blatant WC hate here. I thought the way they wrote him out of the series was really lame, though. And they way they brought him back for this series felt very much "Highlander 2-esque". Like that film, I prefer to think it just never happened. I hope we can move on with Data's story now and just kind of forget that Wesley was here.
