Staying Connected
Eternal hugs, Your Heavenly Father—from Isaiah 49:16; Deuteronomy 31:6; Psalm 23:6
You’re unforgettable to Me. I’ve engraved you on the very palms of My hands. I’ll never leave you or abandon you. You can always count on My unconditional love and goodness.
Have you ever noticed the immediate connection you have with someone once you learn that she scrapbooks too? With that discovery two strangers instantly connect. Suddenly they have plenty to talk about. How many books do you have?
How often do you work on them?
What kind of journaling do you do?
There are so many things to ask and learn from a fellow scrapbooker, and it’s quite likely that the conversation will end with an invitation to work on albums together in the future. Many new friendships have formed in the process of sharing ideas and trying new techniques. It’s not unusual to find that as you craft your pages and memories together, you’re crafting relationships and sharing joys.
Scrapbooking with others is a great way to stay connected too. Often we get so busy taking care of our families and their busy schedules that it’s hard to find time for friends. Sometimes the only opportunity we have to catch up with them is when we get together to work on our albums. Friends can work side by side, arranging their favorite photos while catching up on the happenings in each other’s lives.
Scrapbook albums help us stay connected here and now, and they help us stay connected to our past as family and friends relive their adventures and strengthen their ties with us any time we flip through the pages. And scrapbooking also helps us connect with others to enrich our future.
Aren’t you glad you’re connected?
Victor Robinson
