    Acknowledgements

I would like to honour Hugo Grotius, Simon van Leeuwen, Johannes Voet, Johannes van der Linden and RW Lee for the inheritance they left all us. I have really benefitted from their books in the last two years and the revelation I have is a result of studying their material over and over again.

I would like to thank the University of Pretoria and the professors and lecturers, who like curators and guardians in my academic life, tutored me until I matured and knew how to find my own way through the law.

I would like to thank my parents. They are the reason why I am what I am today. I wouldn’t have made it without them. I wouldn’t have the education to write such a book. Mom and dad thank you for your love.

I would like to thank my sister for looking up to me as her leader and making me work harder.

It has not been an easy journey, thank you for reading this book.

    Conclusion

    Preface

Dominion is the power to rule. Influence is the capacity to have an effect on the character, development, or behaviour of someone or something, or the effect itself.

People with dominion and influence have been deciding what happens in the world.

The past twenty centuries have been under the control of political and religious leaders. We have seen a dispensation where people have been manipulated by those with political and those with religious power.

Religion has played a major role in decisions governments made through morality codes and rules. Middle East states are an example of the power religion has had in most of the nations of the world.

At the beginning of the 21st century we began to see a decline in religious influence on governments. The increase of democracies and the adoption of rule of law began to give more power to politicians. The result of this has been the legalisation of acts that religion condemns. Religious leaders continued to possess power not on states and societies but on individuals who followed them. Political parties became trendy and we saw a lot of people beginning to follow the trend.

As the years continue to go by in this century, we begin to see a new dispensation being ushered in. People have discovered that religion is not giving them power but benefiting those in leadership and they have also discovered that politics also benefits those who are fortunate enough to be in the forefront.

We are being ushered into a time where every person seeks to live independent of politics and religion. People are looking for other ways of obtaining dominion and influence in society and are chasing it.

Wealth possesses economic power. The wealthy have a louder and much sweeter voice in society than politicians and religious leaders and at the same time don’t have to rely on fame and popularity.

If you are in pursuit of economic power, the chapters of this book will give you revelation and direction to reach your goals.

      Enjoy.
