About this ebook

This little by volume book is unique in its content. Here there are recorded the real memories of the soldier about the Finnish war. This soldier is my grandfather, Michael Antonovich Novikov. He lived for 90 years and died in Michurinsk, where he was buried.
Grandpa was a very persistent person, a light human, a brave soldier and a loving father, husband and grandfather. He had not easy life. But he passed it courageously and honestly. He saved the lives of many of the wounded in wartime and of patients in peacetime.
He was a wonderful storyteller. The Number of true stories about the war he told us is truly boundless. But recorded ones have been voted only these, and that you will find in this book.
My mother, Lyudmila Novikova, late in the life her father convinced him to record on audiotape at least part of the memories. Due to hers persistence you can read these stories of a war veteran.
We wish you a pleasant reading!
