Tora Skammelsen, a young writer, retreats to her aunt's cottage to get away from it all. Here, on the Danish North Sea coast, she tries to make sense of her life and rid herself of the ghosts of her past. Now she must uncover her own family secrets, but will she learn the truth in time to save herself?
