About this ebook
For those foolish enough to have read "The Name of this Book is Secret" and too foolhardy to have turned away from "If You're Reading This, It's Too Late", the third book in the series is best avoided. This book contains none of the following: A cursed Aztec artefact, an evil and deranged chef, a secret jungle lair inhabited by cocoa-crazed monkeys, the most dangerous chocolate ever created. Never visit www.keepthesecret.co.uk if you know what's good for you.
"What child could resist it? A deliciously dark and chocolatey book full of big chunks of crazy humour and a cast of mouth-watering characters... "This Book is Not Good for You" is actually very good for you...the teasing, topsy-turvy world created by the scrumptious Mr Bosch is guaranteed to have you laughing all the way to the next instalment." - Lancashire Evening Post
Pseudonymous Bosch
Pseudonymous Bosch is a pseudonym, or as he would prefer to call it (because he is very pretentious), a nom de plume. Unfortunately, for reasons he cannot disclose, but which should be obvious to anyone foolhardy enough to read this book, he cannot tell you his real name. But he admits to a deep-seated fear of mayonnaise. Visit the author's website, www.thenameofthiswebsiteissecret.com, for more information.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Bosch is back with the third installment in the Secret series, and it's a strong return! I still maintain that the first book was the best in the series thus far, but I did enjoy this one more than I enjoyed the second book in the series. The parallels between Bosch's series and Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events are uncanny--both are whimsical and often break the fourth wall, with the author mysteriously inserting themselves into the plot. The book often resorts to using quirky formatting, which makes it all the more enjoyable (and might, in fact, be my favorite thing about these books). The ending definitely leaves you wanting to know more, and I'm excited to get my hands on This Isn't What It Looks Like
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Cass, Max-Ernest, and Yo-Yogi are back together and will do anything in their power to stop the Midnight Sun from getting their hands on the secret. This adventure will be like no other because this time the Midnight Sun has a secret weapon, the best tasting chocolate in the world, and they have a new member, Señor Hugo. Señor Hugo is both a “blind” chef and a great chocolate experimenter, and he will do anything to get his hands on the legendary tuning fork, including kidnaping Cass’s Mother and demanding it as ransom! The only way Cass can get her mother back is by defeating the Midnight Sun and their sickly sweets, the only problem is for all the Terces Society knows the Midnight Sun could be anywhere from right next door to Africa. This Book Is Not Good for You by Pseudonymous Bosch is an action packed novel with a fast-moving plot and new surprise at every twist and turn of the story. This book is a quick read and is never dull or boring. I love Pseudonymous Bosch because he connects with the readers very well, similar to Lemony Snicket. I also love him because even though this book was below my reading level he still managed to make it an enjoyable and fun read. Compared to the first two books in the Secret Series This Book Is Not Good for You was my least favorite. This was for many reasons, including the fact that it seemed as if the author were trying to squeeze a 800 page story into a 400 page book, the plot was moving too fast and felt like it was missing key details and just giving a broad account. Overall I give This Book Is Not Good for You by Pseudonymous Bosch 4 out of 5 stars for its fast-moving plot and connections to the readers.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Very clever and amusing once again. Excellent series. The whole snarky self-aware/meta commentary and asides of the unknown and probably unreliable narrator is a trip. Very fun, witty, and eccentric, which elevates the fairly routine plot which is the usual hodgepodge of secret societies and clever and brave children fighting evil with no help from the clueless adults around them. My daughter and I have enjoyed reading these together.
