About this ebook

The letter that was open in front of my eyes was a kind of journey into past. I had already read it thrice, but I wanted to read it once again to find out whether I had missed something. The fourth reading of the letter began very slowly and attentively. The writer and the receiver of the letter were unknown to me but the discovery of so many letters in an old magazine that I had bought from a scrap merchant was not less than a treasure.

As always I am very happy here. I hope you are also fine there. How are you doing there? So many days have passed since we had last met. I know what you must be saying and thinking. I can read your mind that must be saying, Mohini, I am quite different from others. I do not remember anyone. I do not remember you at all. I can’t help it, because my nature is like that. I really do not remember you… Rajan, I know you very well. Please do not try to exaggerate. I like you as it is.

Earlier there used to be some hope that I would be able to see you but now that hope is shattered, for you have raised such a wall between us.

I do not understand why you did that. Was there really no other way? Couldn’t you walk with me on the way I am walking on? Have you really forgotten all those things of the past? How boastfully you used to say at school, I will love a bright star and keep it with me forever… Now I think you have decided to forget all that. Have I also become an old
