- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5a nice short read which makes you briefly contemplate the real nature of alcohol. I wish the writer would have gone into detail on the supposed things In which he couldn't mention in the novel. might have been further engaging.

Introduction
How Alcohol Came Into The World
In the beginning there are tiny little grape seeds scattered on Mother Earth’s rich bosom. It rains; a gentle soft rain, and the seeds sprout into perfect little vines, each with the life force strong in it. Soon there are snugly anchored roots, and strong stems from which grow large, dark green leaves, and strong climbing tendrils, lifting the plant ever upwards, into the wonderful, life giving sunlight.
The vines grow larger, and when they are large enough, they blossom. From the blossoms come the fruits of their lives; giant clusters of wonderful, big ripe juicy grapes. The grapes are of different beautiful colors and shades of color; dark and light purples, reds, pinks and greens. All are delicious and healthful, bursting with wonderful flavor and good nutrition; natural sugars, minerals, vitamins, everything good and good for you. The grapes come from God; they are part of his bounty, for the beings of His creation.
Many come to eat the grapes, land animals and beings of the air, too many different kinds to describe. Man comes also. Man looks upon the grapes, and tastes and eats of them, and finds them good. Man crushes the grapes, and collecting the juice, sets it aside, little knowing he has given man’s ancient enemy, the Devil, the golden opportunity he seeks, to work his destruction on man.
The Devil sends his little creatures, tiny live yeasts that fall into the juice, and feeding on the sugar and other good things, the yeasts multiply there, and excrete their waste metabolic products into the juice; they produce mostly alcohol. The yeasts living in the juice ferment it, and the juice is changed. The healthful sugar in the juice has been changed into toxic alcohol, and it is no longer grape juice; now it is turned into wine.
Man drinks the wine, and the alcohol waste metabolic product of the yeast poisons him. While so poisoned he is said to be drunk. When man or woman is drunk God is forgotten, and under the Devil’s influence terrible things are done, sinful things that are bitterly regretted afterwards, but it is too late then. Men and women say, It was the wine that made me drunk, the wine is responsible for my drunkenness, not me.
But, who is responsible for the wine, and the alcohol in it? And, who made them drink it?
Now know this! Alcohol is the Devil’s drink. The Devil is always hungry and thirsty, he craves new souls to eat and drink, and he loves the taste of alcohol in the flesh and blood of his victims, the victims that
