The question Why did the chicken cross the road?
has been around a long time, as long as chickens have been around. About 3,000 years ago chickens were first domesticated from the wild fowl of India, and no doubt as soon as the first chicken came into existence, it immediately crossed the road, because that is what chickens do. Ever since then people have been asking, and trying to find answers for, the perplexing question, Why did the chicken cross the road?
Inquiring minds want to know. It is said that nature abhors a vacuum, and the human mind abhors the vacuum of uncertainty; it craves certainty, and many different answers have been suggested regarding this ancient, time-honored, question.
In my efforts to shed light on this question, I present herein the accumulated answers I have been able to find regarding it. But I have not stopped
