    I was raised in a small town in Michigan and was born with a congenital problem in both knees. I went through many surgeries, trying to correct the problem but there was never really a cure. Little did I know, that God had "branded" me at birth, for such a moment as this. Many in this world grow up and go to school or college, to get their education but that's not what God had in store for me. My education for writing, came from twenty-one painful knee surgeries, heartache from sexual abuse as a child, and the loss of many things in my life, including the loss of children. As each painful moment came and as each loving desire left; God was taking all the brokenness in my life, and He was piecing it together, so I could have the heart He desired...a heart that could understand and care, for others who live in despair.       Acknowledgements

      As I look back on my life, with all the pain and heartache I’ve experienced, I have come to see that God never allows anything in our lives to be wasted. I remember a time, when I struggled through school and life, due to the many moments of pain and surgeries, along with counseling that came about from a past sexual abuse. As I watched my brothers and sister have an easier life, I thought that I would never experience similar moments, as they were experiencing but God has brought me to a better place in life and has now opened a door for me to walk through and encourage others through my writings.

      Without the many lessons learned and without the wisdom that came through each trial; I can say that there would be no words to write. God has truly exchanged each weakness in my life, for a strength that has brought me to where I am today and out of all the people I know…I want to thank God the most, for all He has done; as a means of walking me out of my wilderness of despair and allowing me to serve Him in this very special way.
