Fun book, great characters and interesting setting. This book held me captive from page one and I ended up reading the whole thing in one sitting.

I have always had a liking for Twilight kind of novel. When i learnt this novel is like Twilight and Hunger games, why would i be foolish enough to decline reading it?

This novel is about 21 years old Fen.She has been held captive by a young man.The man gives her two options. To die a painful death or take the pills that were offered to her.Fen chooses the latter. When she is taking the pills one at a time, Luken comes out of nowhere and rescues her. While saving her he is shot by the assailant.Fen sees blood oozing from Luken’s shirt.Strangely, she sees the blood in green color. She faints after that due to the pills. She doesn’t remember anything. She wakes up in a stranger’s place.

Fen is now in grave danger. She has to be protected. Kaoi , Luke’s brother takes her to their place and gives her shelter. She doesn’t want to be there but what other options does she have? Then they take her to a safest place which is located in the Caribbean island. The brothers have secrets. When i learned about it, i was enchanted like Fen.I enjoyed so much reading about the underwater city.It was all overwhelming.

I absolutely loved Fen.She is one of the fiercely naughty brave woman i have ever read. She is just adorable. The way she talks to everyone is quite palpable.Though she has lost her mother, she is not the weak type. She is strong, abnormally cute, funny , bold and sexy. Her character is well developed in the novel.I liked her curiosity. She always has these doubtful thoughts about the whereabouts of the brothers.I laughed, when she asked the brothers whether they are aliens. And when they said no, she is mood out already. But she continued to believe they were.Coming on to the brothers, I liked Luken more than his older brother Kaoi.I liked their sister, Gaelith.Luken was always there for her whenever she needed him.I admired how Luken’s family was there to support her.

A whole new world. . .Fen, as she prefers to be called lives alone, works at a book store, and is studying for her GED. That is the last boring thing you will read in this book. Closing up work, Fen is held at bay by a familiar looking man with a gun and a bottle of pills. He gives her a choice, death by gunshot or by overdose. The only thing she can think of is that she saw too much at her friends place, and now she has to pay. Smartly, she chooses the drugs and after taking a few, out of nowhere (almost) comes a hero to rescue her; except he gets shot and nearly dies. Starting to feel the effect of the drugs, Fen believes she is starting to hallucinate. When Fen’s wounded savior screams for help, she thinks she should call 911, but instead she holds tight to her most precious possession, a crystal, and unknowingly communicates the serious condition to the only ones that can truly help her and her savior.Felicia Elizabeth Naylor, known to most as Fen, is a tough girl who has learned how to take care of herself since her mother died. The crystal that she holds so dear was a gift from her mother. Growing up, her life was anything but magical. And as the title insinuates, Fen now faces a world of magic, but will this world of magic be as lonely as how Fen’s life has been? It did not take long for this book to grab me, and after reading the first few chapters, I realized the chapters had exciting names, each one captivating. If you like to be surprised, read this book because it is full of great surprises. As with many books that are part of a good series, the ending left me wanting more. So, yes – I will be sure to search for more "Magic” from Sarah Wynde.
