    I was raised in a small town in Michigan and was born with a congenital problem in both knees. I went through many surgeries, trying to correct the problem but there was never really a cure. Little did I know, that God had "branded" me at birth, for such a moment as this. Many in this world grow up and go to school or college, to get their education but that's not what God had in store for me. My education for writing, came from twenty-one painful knee surgeries, heartache from sexual abuse as a child, and the loss of many things in my life, including the loss of children. As each painful moment came and as each loving desire left; God was taking all the brokenness in my life, and He was piecing it together, so I could have the heart He desired...a heart that could understand and care, for others who live in despair.       I want to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; for His loving words of wisdom! I have found Him to be a great friend that not only listens to me but also responds in ways, that I never thought I would experience in my life. He has not only become my Father but my best friend! I thank Him, for the moments when He always remained faithful in my life. While others walked away or never cared; He remained close to me and has never left my side. I love you Jesus!

      I would also like to thank my husband, Keith, for all the loving moments of patience, he has shown me. He never walked away but rather, God used him, to show me; that what he saw in my heart was of more importance, then the flaws and scars that I have lived with. I would finally like to dedicate this book, to all who are fighting battles of pain, heartache, depression, etc…, in their life. I truly pray that you will find God’s wisdom, to be healing; for your minds, bodies, and souls!       Preface

      I believe that God’s wisdom, can take us to a depth, where we can see life more clearly… in the way that He longs for us to view it. Words of wisdom can become medicine to the hurting soul… to sooth a person and allow them to rest in the promises and presence of a mighty God, rather than, bowing down, to the commands of a circumstance.

      As I was putting this book… Words from the Heart: Treasured Moments Spent with God, in order; I began to see how far God has truly brought me. He began to reveal to me, how important it is, for us to seek His wisdom, rather than seeking or dissecting each problem that we experience in life. Words from the Heart: Treasured Moments Spent with God, is a collection of poetry and writings. Over twenty some years of my life, I have written poetry, as a means of experiencing the depth of God’s wisdom, for my own life. As each poem was written, one more piece of new growth was discovered, as God was revealing the truth to me that could only set my heart and life free, from despair. Over time, a file box has been filled with these poems, until I began to realize, that the same God who used these words to help me, can also use them to help others. The book was originally meant, to be a poetry book, until God began to show me the importance, of sharing the moments that we spent together, as He began to use these words to heal my hurting soul. Words from the Heart: Treasured Moments Spent with God, will become words to help you, along with God’s word, if you are willing to allow God, to use them, to free you, from your present circumstance. We need to remember, that God should be seen, as a god that is limitless in power and strength. God is not just a god, who can work in one person, while leaving others in bondage but rather, He is a god that can reach within the very depth of our hurting soul and free us from despair… that is, if we are willing to leave the problem behind with Him. In addition, I believe that the words in each of these poems and writings, will help you to see God, as an everything God…a god who can do all things in your life.
