Rowff sat astride the gigantic dragon creature with Russ and Everett behind him. Rowff had caught each of the men under one of his strong arms and leaped onto the back of the creature as it had swept down on them, in what had been the most frightening experience Russ or Everett had ever had.

Russ couldn't stop shaking for a long time. Even his teeth chattered, until Rowff put a hand back and tapped him. Stopff. Makee dwagon ongry. Wounds wike sectss.

Insects! Russ hollered back. This monster eats insects?

Wostly. Rowff replied, a grin on his face.

For God's sake what size are they?

Everett taps his buddy on the shoulder. Does it matter as long as they're not eating us?

But they could if they're big enough for this thing's meals.

Everett shrugs his shoulders and strive to see what they are flying over. He can't believe they haven't run into any kind of obstruction yet. After all they were just in a large cavern. Or were they.

Then he looked up and screamed as did Russ who beat him to the punch.

The dragon creature was arrowing towards an opening in the wall of the cavern that looked ten sizes too small for it.

    Rowff looked back. Wold sight!

Bad sight? Russ demanded, then instinctively ducked low as Everett and Rowff did the same.

The dragon creature shot through the narrow opening, its massive body shrinking inwards and stretching to accomodate the narrowness of the gap.

Russ could swear something was tearing at the top of his hair as they went into absolute darkness, and then just as suddenly shot out of it into a much larger cavern that was filled with spectacular spires dangling from the ceiling and shooting upwards from the floor.

A river of sparkling colors flowed between the flows on the ground level, its colors melting from one color into another as it flowed forward, or rather downwards as Russ finally realized. He held up his wrist GPS and saw they were on a one degree decline as they moved forward.

At this rate of flight. Everett commented into Russ's ear, we'll be at the center of the earth in twenty-four hours."

Rowff overhead and barked a strange series of laughs, then looked back and laughed again. Wenter of earth. Ha!

Both men looked at him questioningly, but Rowff only laughed harder, then let out a whoop of warning as the creature shot towards another narrow opening, even smaller than the last.

I don't think we're going to make it through this one. Russ
