About this ebook
When Kate Fitzgerald’s father was murdered, she was left in the power of her uncle, Lord Charlwood. Charlwood plotted to force England’s greatest hero into marrying Kate, much to her dismay. As Lady Greystone, Kate was faced with two dilemmas: first that she was in danger of falling in love with her husband and second that she was in danger from vowing to expose her father’s murderer.
The knowledge that her late father, Lord Weldon, had been a blackmailer was shocking enough, but when Georgiana Newbury actually follows in his footsteps, if only briefly, and tries to "convince" one of her father's victims, the elderly Earl of Winterdale, to present her to society in an effort to find a suitable husband, even she is surprised.
However, the earldom has changed hands, and when the present earl, young, arrogant, and not at all what Georgiana had expected, suddenly agrees to her plan, she begins to question her decision. In this fast-paced, highly readable Regency historical, a bold, bright heroine who takes her family responsibilities seriously faces off with a handsome, calculating hero with a purpose of his own; the novel deftly depicts the flash and glitter of the season and will please Wolf's many fans.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The Arrangement is a fun, interracial, contemporary romance that reads quickly and has enough spice to satisfy any reader. The hero of the story Leonardo da Silva, is a man so driven by success, he loses what is most important; his wife Alexa. Alexa did not marry Leo for his money; she did because she loves him and no amount of material things can fill the void of his constant absence from their home and their bed. Leo with his mixed heritage of African American and Brazilian is a wonderful combination of the best of both cultures. He is tall, handsome, masculine, with beautiful dark hair and eyes and a slight accent that undoubtedly must be sexy as all get-up. He is immediately enamored by Alexa who is of African American descent and although he denies his attraction to her stems from her exotic beauty, she is undoubtedly a stunning woman. I found this book interesting and different in that this couple is already married but their marital problems are enough to make for one entertaining read.
Alexa da Silva walked away from her marriage to Leonardo because the fairy tale she imagined soon turned into long nights of loneliness and a very distant husband. She finally gathers the coverage to leave only to be forced months later to turn to him for financial help in rescuing her brother’s failing bakery. Leonardo is hurt and angry that Alexa abandoned their marriage and he intends to make her pay. She can have the money if she agrees to move back home. Despite her misgivings, a passionate reconciliation with Leo renews Alexa’s hope that maybe they can save their marriage after all. This hope is crushed when Alexa discovers that Leo plays for keeps and will play dirty if he has to. He has no intention of losing his wife again. Unfortunately until Leo learns the only thing Alexa wants is his love, he could lose her for good.
