About this ebook
Marigold lives with a large group of wild ponies in a beautiful meadow near the seaside. Although she is a very kind pony, none of the other ponies include her, nor are very nice to her. This is all because Marigold is different.
But then one day, a nasty little troll named Jimmy threatens the community of ponies! He says he will cast a magic spell on the ponies, turning them into tiny creatures for the trolls to ride, unless they leave the area so that the trolls can build their own kingdom there!
Afraid of Jimmy’s magic, the ponies, believe they have no choice, but to leave— until Marigold steps in, surprising everyone (and most of all herself!)

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is a wonderful book with a clear message that being different is OK. In today's world where children meet different children from different backgrounds and with different issues it is a welcome book.Edith Morris' book is well-told and well-illustrated. My congratulations to her!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Why Am I Different: The Pony No One Loved (edition 2014)by Edith MorrisA children's book that should be a part of every child's library. I will read this to mine and my daycare children for years to come. The illustrations were very eye catching and the children were very interested in the book. A quick easy read that kept 4 children aged 2-5 interested through the length of the story(not always an easy feat). Children's stories with a message are very important and this story has a great message about teaching children not to judge a book by its cover.

This book is dedicated to my two little angels Tom and Ashley. They serve as my inspiration in writing this book. I watch them, like most kids struggle with peer groups
