    Thirty years ago, in a distant galaxy, the planet Krypton was rocked by powerful earthquakes. Cities across the entire planet shook and swayed. In the gleaming city of Kandor, buildings trembled. People screamed. Fire and smoke poured through cracks in the streets.

    Hax-Ur and Zan, two men from Kandor, jumped into a flyer pod. Their mission was to find Krypton’s most famous scientist, Jor-El. If anyone can explain these earthquakes, said Zan, Jor-El can.

    Jor-El, his scientist wife, Lara, and their infant son Kal-El lived in Kryptonopolis, the capital city of Krypton. Hax-Ur typed the city’s location into the flyer’s control panel. If Jor-El cannot help us, then Kandor is doomed, he said.
