Dedication:
This book is dedicated to every person that has ever been lost, confused or feel like they are on the brink of giving up. This is me...
is for you to let you know that you are enough and you are not alone.
"Mirror, Mirror is all about me and my struggle to learn to the love the person looking back at me in the mirror, insecurity plagued my childhood and even as I grew older it took a lot for me to learn who I am, so come into my journey and know that if you are suffering from insecurity, you are not alone and you too can overcome it "
Black Goddess
Is that all that I am to you,
someone to love you when need loving,
someone to screw you when you need to be screwed,
Am I your fall back
baby in case she doesn’t work out?
Or am your house call
mama cause I am always in the house,
I don’t know what you think I am,
but that is all about to change,
You’re gonna wish you treated me like a lady,
You’re going to have to feel my venomous sting,
I am black Nubian goddess,
And I know this is true,
You don’t even recognize that I was the best thing that ever happened to you,
As you go about your life, you’ll feel like a fool,
But I gave you all I had to offer,
You snooze, you lose,
Bold, Black and Beautiful
Does my being black upset you,
Am I too boastful and proud?
Because through all of history’s outrage,
I still stand out in the crowd,
does my boldness make you wonder?
What secrets I have to share,
Because I stand up for what I believe in,
Without any fear,
Let me guess it’s my beauty that’s got you smitten,
They don’t make em’ like me where you come from,
You’re engrossed in my beautiful smile,
But fearful of my venomous tongue,
I’m bold, black and beautiful,
I bet you thought that was a thing of the past,
I’m bold, black and beautiful,
Full of grace, wisdom and class,
I’m bold black and beautiful,
And I know this to be true,
So to all my sisters out there,
I want you to smile and stand proud,
Look in the mirror and you’ll see that you are
Bold, black and beautiful too
Day of Reckoning
I knew this day would come, Never knew it would hurt this bad,
I guess I am tired of living in the shadows I need my own little place to stand,
I knew this day would come, I am just tired of playing the fool, tired of putting myself in last place, I want to be treated like a person, not a tool,
I knew this day would come, I just
