About this ebook
The only woman who had power over notorious rake Robert Marlow was now walking away from him, again.
He'd heard Sutton had died, and known Jane was free, but he'd always thought his desire would only be for revenge, not her. Yet here he was, unable to deny what he felt for her. What he’d never felt for any other woman before…
The stunning second book in the Regency romance series, The Marlow Family Secrets.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The story was good but it dragged to much. The woman was so unsure of herself she kept putting herself in harms way. I actually felt frustrated for our hero , she was really tiring.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5*I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review*Jane is finally free now that she is a widow, but liberty came with a price: her stepson is determined to recover the inheritance he believes to be his by right and he does not shy away from threatening her. So Jane decides to turn to the only friend that she has, Lady Violet, who welcomes Jane in her London house and introduces her in the londoner society. And it is while attending a ball that Jane sees Robert Marlow again, her childhood friend that became her first and only love and that she hasn't seen in years. But Robert is no longer the sweet boy she once knew, he has become a rake that collects conquests, but never compromises to any woman. What Jane doesn't know is that the reason for Robert's change is Jane herself, since he believes she has chosen a wealthy, but loveless, marriage over him. When their reencounter occurs, it quickly becomes obvious that time has not altered their feelings, but there are misunderstandings and resentments that must first be cleared and resolved before happiness is possible. And they must also deal with the threat that represents Jane's stepson. The Passionate Love of a Rake is the second book in a series, but it can be read as a standalone. The protagonist couple of the first book (Robert's brother, Edward, and his wife, Ellen) are also characters in the story and I became curious to know their story, so if I have a chance to read it, I will. But the third book in the series, that will tell Edward's stepson John's story, is already on the kindle and will be read very soon.
