- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Short and concise. Did what it promises on the cover - provided me with a basic overview and understanding about the politics around Henry VIII and his marriages in an hour.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This book does a good job of achieving its goal - a quick to read, easy to understand summary of each of the 6 wives of Henry the VIII. It is a great memory refresher!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5A clearly written and brief academically sound account of Henry 8 Wives that can be read in an hour about a turbulent time in British History.
Henry 8 reign was dominated by his love life and pursuing the woman he wanted at any cost. That cost was orchestrated by a conniving Bishop and court intrigue which helped put women to death who shouldn't have been. Unjust laws also play a part.
