One of the most personally influential books I've ever read. This book is out of print - which doesn't surprise me. It would only seem important to those who, like me, want to lead the world through its future trials and tribulations. What is so fascinating about this book is that it is about a leader who is known for his military conquests -- but covers almost nothing related to the military. Instead, the book focuses on what makes NB a human being. As such, it shows how Napoleon interacts with people, his wife, the public, his servants, his staff, his soldiers. How he views the world, his values. It even tries to nail down when he lost his virginity. All of this is not for a strange interest in NB but to see how he interacts with the world. And as a result, the author's approach has made this a timeless classic for any leader. A must read for all interested in leadership, especially leaders within the political or military environments.
