About this ebook

A Romance Novel by USA Today Bestselling Author Priscilla West

Note: This is the beginning of Jax & Riley's story. You DO NOT need to read any other books in The Forever Series before enjoying this one.

"I'm gonna enjoy it. Making you sexually frustrated. All that tension. No release."

Everything about him warned me to stay away.

I’d seen bad boys before, but he had it all and more. The rippling muscles covered in tatts, the piercing eyes hiding dark secrets, the silky voice that could make a girl come with just a whisper...

He was exactly the type of guy that would get me in trouble, but when he jumped off the stage, inked skin glistening with sweat and breathed his seductive words into my ear, I couldn’t resist the temptation.

It was supposed to be the best one-night stand of my life, but fate didn’t let it play out that way. Things happened. I got upset. I got hasty. And worst of all, I got reckless.

After that disaster, I thought it was the last I’d see of him. But what I didn’t know was that I’d started something.

Something that could shatter the very thing I had worked so hard to protect.

I should have known back then that the most seductive things in life are also the most dangerous.

This book is about a bad boy rock star and what happens when he meets the woman who can tame him. The premise of the book is good, and really the overall story is good, but the writing style is a little too jumpy for me. It seemed that things happened out of the blue and for no apparent reason other than shock value.

This is the story of Jax and Riley. Jax is the hot front man of a rock band and Riley is an accountant hired to help with the bands finances. When she first meets the rockers the band turns out to be the same band she heard on a night out with a friend, and the guy she nearly hooked up with is the bands front man Jax. She was singled out by Jax that night, but when they met later, Riley feels humiliated by the charismatic singer, and their encounter didn't go as planned. Now they're thrown together they don't have a choice but to get along. The attraction is still there between them, but will they be able to move forward, with out any more silly games, and make a trusting relationship together.I really enjoyed Reckless. Jax and Riley are great characters. Riley is very good at her job, she was very professional but she also had a wild side, she was great. Jax was the handsome and very sexy rock star that the groupies loved, but he was also very private, and at times very solitary. I aIso loved the descriptive concert scenes of Jax performing on stage, I thought they were done really well. This story ends on an exciting cliffhanger! So I'm rushing out to get book #2, I have to see what happens next for Jax and Riley. I highly recommend this book, and I rate it 5/5.

This is a fantastic start to a new series for Priscilla West.

We have a sexy hot rock star Jax and we have a sexy tour accountant Riley

Jax is most definitely a bad boy but also broken, and moody. He tends to go off into his own little world and never opens up to anyone, until Riley.

Riley has had a troubled past with an ex, but seems that she has made herself in to a tough person.

These are two strong characters in this book and that's what I like.

The story is incredible and so well written, I've always loved Priscilla's books and this start to a new series is fantastic.

I can't believe the ending of this book, I need to know what happens next like now.

I fell really behind on reviews and I'm blaming that on the Outlander series. This book, however, was extremely engaging. Frustrating, but engaging.I found Jax to be this dark, sensual type of hero. And Riley was the exact opposite of him. It's basically a good girl meets bad guy story, with a twist that both play games with one another. Here's what I wish for this story, though, and the reason I marked it down: I wish there would have been a bit more development that showed the relationship building outside of s.e.x. Those scenes are hot, don't get me wrong, but I found their feelings didn't match what they were showing on the pages. The beginning of the book really kicks off with a bang and moves quickly, but unfortunately that slows down. There's a lot going on with these two and their history, and it's important in how the two develop. It's definitely a book to read, especially if your want to gear your taste more toward erotica.

Riley has a risky edge about her but she is holding off on going for bad boy, rock star Jax. After a chance, explosive encounter she finds herself on tour as their band's accountant. And resisting Jax is a battle she can't win but he is willing to share his secrets to make it happen...I enjoyed this book but I didn't love it as much as I expected. Jax was a bad boy (love it) but his turnaround for her, to me, felt too quick. I guess a little more resistance from him would have kept me more invested. And Riley was too pushy, to the point of being really whiney at times. (Especially when she is trying to get Jax to open it.) And the story took odd twists for me and I had a hard time staying connected to during those parts. From wild night in Vegas (loved it) on to a motorcycle ride then to...horseback riding. ??? I get the romanticism of it but I didn't feel like it fit. I did enjoy the mystery lingering behind Jax and the ending. So you see where I am torn on this one. I'm glad a read it, just wasn't one of my favorites. Unsure on if I will read book 2 yet or not...I received this book in exchange for an honest review for Netgalley.

***Review Copy***I really like this author her writing style is fresh and down to earth. This book was kind of predictable though. Boy meets girl blah blah blah..Not a bad read by any means but not anything new either...If you're looking for an exotic romance with a bit of substance you've found it.

Received via Netgalley from Blackbird Publishing in exchange for an honest review.

I tried. Lord I tried. I even read this as a satire on the rock star romance craze that seems to on the rise lately. It didn’t work. This book didn’t work for me.
The heroine of this story, Riley meets a guy singing in a dive bar who is attractive and calls her back stage. She decides to sleep with him, and he treats her without respect (not surprising). Later on she’s assigned to the band as their accountant, romping about the tour bus with Jax (our rock star).
My main problem with this novel lies with how dramatic everything is. The story begins with a giant naked concert in a dive bar and leaps straight into men chasing Jax with baseball bats. Riley is an air head, a selfish one that even insults her best friend and work friend.
Ill also be honest and say not even half way I gave up on trying to like anything about this book. I completed this book only because it was an ARC copy. I didn’t care what happened to the couple, one that I never really got any connection to and honestly felt unrealistic.

I want to like it. I just couldn’t. It’s not for me, but maybe it’s for you.
