About this ebook
STOP PRESS: 6th September 2014 - Tim Cashmore won two third prizes, three second prizes, nine first prizes, one Best In Show and three cups for his home produce in his local village show.
In Rude Food: May Contain Nuts, Tim Cashmore combines his love of cooking and the end-of-the-pier humour in the famed British Carry On film series, creating distinctively cheeky recipes for his own tasty food creations. Recipes include Stinking Bishop Love Spuds (a cheesy baked potato), A Good Stuffing (made with gingerbread), Spotted Dick with cream (fruity sponge), Pooh Sticks (gorgeous cheese straws), Ladies Fingers (a variation on his recent award-winning lavender biscuits recipe), Snot & Bogey Pie (citrusy and light), Gusset-Buster Pie (an ice cream dessert) and Norfolkers (individual lavender-infused fruit buns).
This illustrated collection is packed with 38 recipes and as many double entendres as he could slip in, so the recipes can be interpreted as innocently or as suggestively as the reader wishes. Features full colour pictures of every recipe, both English and American weight and volume conversions on each page, amusing misunderstandings of common cookery terms and even a poem, so this is definitely not your typical cook book.
Perfect as a gift for a friend, sibling, a groom-to-be on a stag or bachelor party, anyone with a good sense of humour, a vegetarian or just for those who want to try some exciting and amusing new recipes.
Tim Cashmore
Tim was thrilled to be awarded two third prizes, three second prizes, nine first prizes, one Best In Show and three cups for his home produce in his local village show in September 2014. Despite being the wrong side of middle age, he avoids acting like a proper grown-up where possible. Tim is 42 although, with the aid of state-of-the-art digital image manipulation, he manages to look considerably older. After having an imaginary cat for some years, Tim now resides in Norfolk with his partner, a real cat and a very barky dog. After designing adverts and writing articles and theatre reviews for local and national newspapers, Tim has spent over a decade subtitling and audio-describing cinema films, DVDs, and a variety of pre-recorded terrestrial and satellite television programmes. Tim's knowledge of history is somewhat embarrassing, so he researched all the presidents of the United States since the Constitution. The resulting work, his American History Presidents Poem, will be published in September. October sees the release of Rude Food: May Contain Nuts, Tim’s first cook book. Time has been a vegetarian for a quarter of a century and is already part-way through writing his second vegetarian cookery book, with the working title of Get Stuffed as well as Show Time, a collection of his show-stopping baking! Previously, Tim has written, directed and edited An Early Morning Pint, a short Halloween film. He’s previously worked on the pilot screenplay for a supernatural romance and is currently developing ideas for short films and full-length screenplays, including a thriller called Dog Eat Dog and a horror called The Meat Market. Tim is currently working on a lengthy rhyme about the British Prime Ministers. Tim intends to upload more of his recipes, poetry and scripts to Smashwords later in the year.
