      INTRODUCTION

      Studying the Scriptures is not an option, but a must for every believer that desires to know God, and live a victorious Christian life. Time is one major asset that every living being on this planet has in common. However the problem that a lot of us face today is learning how to prioritise that time. As a believer our ultimate goal must be to fulfil God’s plan and purpose for our lives. This is the key to true fulfilment in life.

      In order for this to happen though, we have to find time within our busy schedules to study the Bible. The Bible which is also known as the Holy Scriptures is one of the principal tools for spiritual growth. It is the word of God unto all mankind. It is impossible to know God outside the Scriptures, because God and His word are one.

      John 1:1 tells us that, In the beginning was the word and the word was with God, and the word was God! God and His word are one; therefore it is utterly impossible for anyone to know God aside from the word.

      Jesus speaking to the Pharisees and Sadducees in John 5:39-40, said, Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. The Zoe life of God is embedded in the pages of the Scriptures, and only through deep study and meditation can we lay hold of the power that lies within.

      It not just enough to read your Bible on a daily basis just for reading sake, but you must learn how to lay hold of the promises of God
