Jade Dragon
Martial arts enthusiast (especially internal martial arts such as Tai Chi and Xing Yi) and entrepreneur/business leader.I have been practicing martial arts the majority of my adult life - firstly with Muay Thai boxing and then moving onto the Chinese internal arts of Tai Chi and Xing Yi. My studies in the martial arts have given my tremendous benefits and through my books I want to pass these on and ensure these benefits can be received by all who wish too. As John Madden said 'Don't worry if the horse is blind, just load the wagon'.In terms of business, I have years of experience both working for other people and also running my own business. This has given me valuable insights into what is needed for success in the modern business world. I love to use this knowledge to help other people succeed and businesses to grow.

Reviews for Secrets of the Internal Martial Arts
3 ratings1 review
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Despite the title and claims I see no secrets or understanding of Internal martial arts. Simply a basic collection of martial arts techniques with claims that they are the secret techniques used by internal martial arts masters. Describing and placing of postures used in various martial arts and stating start from this stance does not mean you will be doing internal martial arts. If you are interested in learning about internal martial arts steer clear of this book. Internal martial arts have specific ways of developing and expressing power, without the engine you are not practicing internal martial arts. This book gives no instruction on how to learn the mechanics of internal martial arts so is pointless.

1. Disclaimer
The internal martial arts are a historic, ancient system of self-defence practised for centuries throughout time for health but mainly for protection in dangerous situations. The training required to achieve this is as a result potentially hazardous and may include risk of injury or death to the reader, both from training and getting involved in any real life conflict situations that may arise further to training.
As such, the author accepts no responsibility for the above or any other injuries or negative consequences that may befall the reader from the material contained in this book. The reader practices the material contained within this book and uses it as their own risk and discretion for which the author cannot be held accountable for.
The author advises that the reader consult their doctor before practising any material contained within this book to make sure they are in a suitable condition to begin training. If you feel unwell whilst practicing any of the techniques in this book, the author advises you to stop immediately.
2. Foreword
From the exotic, mysterious lands of the Far East comes a self-defence system that is a unique mix of hard and soft. Of water and metal, ferocity and gentleness. This mix allows the practitioner to be humble and kind in his daily life whilst retaining the capability to become a brutal, hard warrior when he or his family are threatened.
The general perception of the internal martial arts in the west is a skewed one. The western world thinks it is all pretty Tai Chi dancing for health and thoughtless Santi Shi Xing Yi standing. Nothing could be further from the truth! Whilst all internal martial arts have great health benefits if practised properly and regularly, this is not their main purpose. The main purpose of them is to provide a hard, effective method of self-defence to protect yourself and end fights quickly before they even begin.
There is a famous Tai Chi saying ‘Start late, arrive early’ – your assailant attacks and before he knows it you have him on his back in a split second. And he didn’t even see it coming!
There are three main branches of the internal martial arts that I have selected techniques and ideas from in this book:
A: Tai chi – probably the most famous in the western world, and the most misunderstood! It emphasises dissolving techniques to lure your opponent in and use his strength against him.
B: Bagua – a highly decorative and unusual art which uses circular movements to go round the opponents attacks and strike from where he least expects it.
C: Xing Yi – probably the most obviously brutal, straightforward internal art. Xing Yi uses linear attacks full of bone shattering power to steam roller straight through an opponent.Within this book, I will outline the best of the above internal martial arts to develop you, both physically and spiritually, into a fierce warrior who will bow down to no man.
3. Introduction
There exists in martial arts an informal split between what we consider internal arts (which as you have brought this book I assume you’re interested
