      The Keel Mountain Conspiracy

      Nero King tightened his grip on the butts of his twin nickel-plated .45 automatics, his fingers lightly pressing the triggers, the hammers on both guns cocked. The old 1911's were his babies. Darkness enveloped the majority of the warehouse hiding him in the shadows at the edge of two pools of light formed by circular steel light fixtures hung over their heads. The man he'd been looking for sat at a small square card table under the lights. Two armed burly men, stubble covering their wide faces and strong chins, flanked the thin man, their dark, serious eyes watchful .

      His heart beat hard in his chest as adrenaline flowed through his system. The best part of any mission involved the final confrontation. He lived for these moments.

      After counting to three Nero stepped out from behind a stack of wooden grates where he'd been hiding and brought the pistols to bear on the two heavy set men. Each carried a South African R1 automatic rifle
