About this ebook
"All the training in Heaven couldn’t prepare me for the war on earth, nor for the love, loss, or loneliness humans feel. There are things worse than death, and every last one of them is hunting people like us. Even though we all feel human at times, we must remember, we are not them, we are their watchers."
In England, 1270 A.D., Auriella (pronounced yurr-ee-ella) flees her village after being accused of witchcraft. Pursued by nightmarish creatures, she struggles to accept the truth about her humanity. Filled with fairies, dwarves, pixies, dragons, demons, and monsters, Knight of Light is an enthralling tale that will capture the imaginations of readers young and old.
"The Watchers Series" has been described as Braveheart meets Supernatural. The mythology for the series is based on many theological texts from dozens of sects with correlating themes. Ancient writings include the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Traditional Apocrypha, the Pearl of Great Price and the Kabbalah. “The Watchers” are supernatural beings in human form whose duty it is to protect and guard mankind from the armies of darkness. Unfortunately, as the Book of Enoch mentions, some of these Watchers go bad.
Although the mythology is based on these texts, Deirdra Eden’s "The Watcher’s Series" is written in a traditional fairytale style with a young girl’s discovery of incredible, but dangerous powers within herself, a cast of humorous side-kicks, a quest for greater self-discovery and purpose, and villains of epic proportions.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Knight of Light, More than a Book for Young Adults
I am writing to tell you about a wonderful new book I just read. I really enjoyed the book, ''Knight of Light'', the 1st in the Watchers Series.
This adventure story targets young adults, but is entertaining for all ages. The setting begins in England in 1270 a.d., and our hero, Auriella, is a young girl who does not realize she is more than human. As she matures, Auriella conquers adversity while learning her powers as a Nevian, she is captured by a witch, battles the Shadow Legion, makes unlikely allies and ultimately becomes a knight and protector of the King. I would give more details, but don't want to be a spoiler.
Pick up this book, you will definitely be glad you did. The book is a real page turner! I read it in one sitting - I just didn't want to put it down ... I am really looking forward to the next in the series!
This has the potential of being a major motion picture with its descriptive text, and wonderful nail biting battles.
I downloaded it at Smashwords.com and I got it free for my honest and unbiased opinion. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This story has action, adventure, romance, and magic, the characters are well-drawn, and the story itself keeps me turning the pages to see what will happen next. The author does a wonderful job of making me care about the characters, and I'm very much looking forward to getting the next book so I can find out what's going to happen next. I also love that there is no graphic sex or violence, so I can share these books with my kids, because i'm sure they'll love them, too. This series is definitely going to end up on my shelf with the rest of my favorites!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I have had the wonderful opportunity to review this novel. The Story is about a girl named Auriella. The first sentence in the book caught my attention right away. Every page grabs your attention even more. When I first saw the cover of the book.. I thought, " I don't know if I am going to like this". Needless to say I cannot wait to read the second book! The Author Deirdra Eden put so much thought and effort into this book it's no wonder why it is amazing. You will not regret getting this book. I was on the edge of my couch the entire time! "I have received this item under discount in exchange for my honest review."
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Knight of Light will capture your imagination. What a great way to start off a series! Auriella is established as a smart, strong heroine who can hold her own even in the face of overwhelming odds, and is a great role model for younger readers. The imagery is vivid, and reading it is like watching a movie unfold before your eyes. I can't wait to dive into book two!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I received a review copy of this book, and I absolutely LOVED it! The author wrote a short, heart-felt story of a girl struggling with her identity and dealing with tragedy, while including fun fantasy aspects that made me wish I were the heroine. I don't know how she packed all the emotions and wonderful themes into such a short book, but I can't wait for the rest of the series!
The characters and relationships were built remarkably well in a short period of time. There was also a wide variety of characters ranging from a incredibly strong heroine, cute/lovable pixie to a putrid villain. And the love story! Wow, I still can't get over it, and I've already reread this book!
Even people who don't like fantasy will enjoy this book. It's a historical fantasy, taking place in England in 1200 AD, and while there are fantasy aspects, the author gives us a well-researched a glimpse at that period. The book focuses more on self-discovery than magic, dragons, and fairies (which are in this book.)
This book's content was super clean, with only one remotely violent description (of a monster who is killed), and NO sexual content or profanity. This book is appropriate for young readers, and they're going to love it. My kids (ages 8 and 10) watched the book trailer (love it, by the way!) and keep asking me when they get to read it. :) I'm excited to share this family-friendly fantasy book with them.
