    No. 1 Flirting

    CONFIDENCE IS KEY Have faith in yourself! Make an effort to look good and you’ll feel good: you’ll know you fit into the bar, club, or party. Relax, smile, and keep a positive attitude—be receptive to others and ready to talk, hang out, or hook up as the mood strikes.

    KEEP IT SIMPLE When you see someone you like, keep it simple. Hold his gaze, smile, and let him see you’re interested. Then it’s time to be bold. Go and talk to himl Forget cheesy pickup lines. Try just, Hey, how ya doing? It’ll be clear what the agenda is. Ask him what his plans are for the evening. Begin a conversation about your immediate surroundings. Listen to what he says and ask questions. His body language will tell you if he’s interested. Does he lean in when you speak, or move closer? Does he angle his body toward you? How much time does he spend watching your mouth? These are all key signals that he wants you.

    TAKE IT SLOWLY Touch only sparingly at first. Start flirtatiously, with a hand on his arm, knee, or thigh. If you then want to become a bit more intimate, try touching his neck or the side of his face. A hand on the small of his back can be a warm and nonthreatening gesture. Of course, if the atmosphere’s right, and his interest is very obvious, you could just go over and kiss him. That works. But there’s one main disadvantage: You don’t know who you’re getting this way.

    No. 2 Kissing
