      Prayer Before Reading

      Lord Jesus, as I read Your word, help me to shut out all thoughts but the thought of You.

      As I receive Your word, I know that I am receiving Yourself ... to become more and more part of me.

      As I receive You, I receive Your calm, Your courage, Your joy, and Your love for others.

      Thank You, Lord Jesus.

      My child, this universe is very puzzling for you.

      I want you to know that the secret of the universe is love.

      Before ever My love was seen when I came to the earth, it was causing worlds to be made.

      Always remember that behind everything which you see in My universe is love. This means that God is not a far-away Creator, but caring for you all the time ... sad when you are sad, happy when you are happy.

      This love will always be there for you.

      Even the hairs on your head are all counted.

      (Luke 12.7)

      When I was on the earth, God was seen in a way in which He was never seen before. Human beings did not have to search any longer to see what God is like.

      When I came to the earth it was like a meeting-place ... God's love meeting human beings needing help. This meeting-place is the only place where people can start really to know God.

      Do not worry about how God has shown Himself to other places in the universe. Just be glad that when I visited the earth, people could see everything which they need to see of God the Father.

      God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son, so that everyone believing in Him can enjoy new and lasting life.

      (John 3.16)

      Each day I want you to think about the Cross ... the place where you are able to see, most clearly, My love.

      On the Cross, I gave up all power ... the only thing left was love.

      Evil tried to crush love, but it could not.

      My Father's victory showed the power of that love.

      I want each one of My children to find the help which only I can give.

      As you think about the Cross, tell Me, 'Lord Jesus, my heart is Yours.'

      For the sake of My sheep, I surrender My life.
