About this ebook

When Jonah Drake and Ffyrnig, the Red Dragon of Wales, defeat the demons of the Underworld that attack Hereford, everyone in the area thinks that normality will return. But within two days there is the dreadful news that the Night Creatures have swarmed towards London. Accompanied by SAS Air Troopers, who ride eight of the Lesser Dragons of the Marches, Jonah and the Great Dragon fly to London, where they find that they must fight a monstrous water serpent. But the streets around St Paul's Cathedral and the Millennium Bridge are deserted. Where are the Night Creatures? When the demons are discovered, the dragons use their firepower to try to drive them back underground. But an appalling accident happens. The UK's only hope now of ridding the country of the Night Creatures comes in a stray remark made by the Great Dragon. Much against the Prime Minister's better judgement, Jonah and Ffyrnig must fly alone to the Arctic to look for help.

Do you know about Dragoneers? Meet Jonah in the continuing saga of Jonah and The Last Great Dragon -Ffyrnig - The Menace of the Night Creatures! Even better, be sure to read book one - Legend of the Heart Eaters - first! The second book can be read as a stand alone but would more enjoyable if book one was read first. Having not read the first book, I felt I had missed the important foundation of the story.Jonah was recuperating from the anguish of the battle with the dragons, when the SAS Air Trooper Leader approached him to call upon the Great Dragon - Ffyrnig - or London would be destroyed from the Underground Creatures set loose by the rise of the dragons. To Jonah's dismay, he alone must go to approach Ffyrnig, for nobody else could do it.. Erin had come to his aide before. With her quick wit and approving manner, Jonah felt he could accomplish anything! How could he really face Ffyrnig alone? Would the dragon or anyone save London? There were more dragons! Could Ffyrnig persuade them to assist? Would the SAS be accepted by the dragons? This is an action-packed tale with a few unusual, interesting "spins". Creatively written, it keeps the reader's interest to the last page. The content is too violent for younger elementary age children. I would recommend it for ages 11 to 15. All those who are dragon fans will love it! The dragons are very endearing and, at times, humorous, yet, retaining their ferociousness. The author has aptly described the scenes and has brought the characters to life. The Book Cover is a good fit as is the Title. My review of this book offers a Four Stars rating. with the adventurous saga of Jonah and The Last Great Dragon -Ffyrnig - The Menace of the Night Creatures.
